Allen Jones

Bio:

Allen Jones is an Up and coming Drummer in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. Already an accomplished musician at the young ripe age of 15, he has performed with many greats, many places. He has played with Musicians like Wallace Roney, Davey Yarborough, Antoine Roney, Sean Johnson, Mandrill, and Butch Warren just to name a few. He has also performed at many different venues and festivals such as the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival, Bahemian Jazz Festival, Washington DC Convention Center, The White House, Blues Alley, HR-57, The John F. Kennedy Center, and Carter Baron Amphitheater. He is currently a Sophmore at the Duke Ellington School for The Performing arts and is in The School's Jazz Ensemble, Combo Band, Wind Ensemble, and Orchestra. He has studied drums with Nasar Abadey, Greg Tilman, and hand drum master, the late Baba Ngome. He currently studies with Jazz drummer Eric Allen, Francis Thompson, and Metal drummer Kevin Talley. He has studied Piano with his dad Harlan Jones. He is also embarking on musical journeys on the vibraphone and guitar. He currently plays in a metal band Tavara, and gigs regularly during the school year with the Combo Band.
