The Alley Cat Dogs are already being branded the bad boys of pop. Kadean, Matt and Alex J - all hailing from London - have declared that they are ready to go head to head with Take That for the crown of the top man band. Despite the friendly rivalry between the bands, the Alley Cat Dogs are determined to take male pop music to another level, picking up from where bands like Blue left off at the beginning of the century. The Dogs intend to bring fun and mischief back into pop at a time when it is all too serious!!
The Alley Cat Dogs is probably the first pop band to be born on My Space. Kadean, Matt and Alex J met as My Space friends and after exchanging musical ideas on the site, started the band. Award winning producer/singer One spotted the band’s uniqueness and decided to help them to develop further.
The Alley Cat Dogs have already notched up chart success with the official answerback to the Pussycat Dolls ‘Dontcha’. ‘Hung like Me’ is a seriously naughty take on the Dolls’ worldwide smash. The band built up a massive following across the Far East and Europe during their 2006 world tour.
The Alley Cat Dogs’ sound is a distinctive blend of highly contagious Pop, Rock and Soul with a dash of raw dirty electro Funk. Their sound is grown up yet fun, the perfect combination for a man band. They are equally impressive live - girls scream and boyfriends and husbands get jealous.
Kadean is the most well known on the London club scene for his cheeky antics and raw pulling power. Matt has been modelling for years with campaigns for Armani, Ralph Lauren, Boss and the Clothes Show firmly under his belt before he stepped into the music arena. Alex J is the crazy one, with a talent for acting and comedy as well as music. His acting credits include Blade II, Indiana Jones and the Mask live tour. As a package, the band is poised to become a brand manager’s dream.
Currently, the Alley Cat Dogs are promoting their latest single ‘How Freaky’ produced and written by Red Rhythm, with mixes from smash hit producers Bassliners, Blaq Money and Audio Captions.
‘How Freaky’ is out on all formats August 28th 2007.
