The band originally started in the summer 2005 when 4 friends with very few playing experience got together to play some skatepunk. After few months Oskari joined on vocals and we formed a side project to play hardcore. Due to lack of experience, guitar riffs that came out and some other stuff the music turned out to be kind of a old school 80's influenced hc. Skatepunk band was soon forgotten. In the summer 2006 we released our 5-song 6-minute demo which sound quality sucked bad but it still got as to few gigs in Turku and introduced us to some new friends. Aku and Pirkka formed Poolside Records with a promise to release an Alley Gods/Unloyal Split 7". We recorded our side on april 2007. 4 songs with the first time a properly sound quality. Unfortunately Unloyal never got to record their songs and the band eventually split up. Juho quit the band in 2007 with no personal difficulties and we continued as a four-piece band. In 2008 it was decided that Poolside will release our own 7" so we had to make some new songs. So finally at september we got to record the other half of the 7". It took then a little while to get the actual record out. But now our 7" is finally out and we continue to make new songs for some upcoming record in the future. Alley Gods was and always will be about having a great time and doing things we love. We'we now played about 20 gigs over the years with more to come (hope so) and it's been awesome. Since the formation of Alley Gods the members have also affected on other Turku bands, such as Reckless Crew, Get Stitches! and Ill Omen. To all of you: keep having fun and you'll be sure we do!
