The project started in September 2005, initially consisting in a semi acoustic quartet, offers a performance dedicated to the search for meager and evocative sounds of Roots Blues,a few months later, they decide to complete the band with a fifth musician, ‘cause the music of New Orleans needs a powerful rhythmic section.
And so the band of Alligator Nail was born, five musicians together, already famous since many years in the Blues scene in Italy and united by love for this fascinating kind of music, also known as a way of life.
In January 2006, they produced the first cd “ LIVE DONATION”, that include seven live recorded songs, which range from traditional blues to the most contaminated, This CD has been appreciated to the point that in a few months all the copies will be sold out.
Now known to the fans, Alligator Nail offer a researched repertoire, sometimes veiled by influences Soul, Cajun and Zydeco, (music styles born from the fusion between Blues, Caribbean music and African Rhythms).
The original arrangements are strongly characterized by an impressive rhythmic section, brilliant soloists musicians and funny choral moments that create an evocative and dynamic atmosphere, able also to involve the eyes.
Their concerts offer a considerable amount moments of high emotional involvement, a result of inventive every time ironic thanks to the presence of curious rhythmic instruments, percussions and toys that make unique performances of a band who lives his passion in the show , expresses energy, knows how to drag the audience every time , indicating it’s sincere love for this music.
The stage is very refined, indeed Stephanie, the vocal leader, thinks it is vital to capture the gaze of the public referring to the color and gaiety of the streets of New Orleans invaded by carnival parades,
and so the stage is filled with curious objects and lights and she wears extravagant and colored clothes , colorful and always different strange hats.
The scenography of their concerts is very important too, in fact , every concert includes the major paintings by the singer and painter Stephanie.
After many years of performances around their country and foreign countries, especially Switzerland, the band puts it’s sign into the most important national and international festivals, cited below. In January 2009 the second album is ready, “ SURFIN’ ON THE BIG EASY ", dedicated to the city of New Orleans and to its musical traditions.
You can listen to ten songs including two originals “Coffee in the coffin” that remember funeral parades and “worried Wife Blues” an ironic and satirical vision of life by the wife of a Bluesman always on the road, and victim of easy temptations. The music inside the CD recalls the atmosphere of carnival and the colors of Mardi Gras, the parades and the enthralling power of street artists, all made even more 'likely by the presence of friends, musicians in New Orleans, guests who have helped to make this disc a great satisfaction.
To attend a concert of Alligator Nail is like to imagine ourselves sitting on a bench on the Riverwalk, on the banks of the regal Mississippi, embraced by the attractive and comfortable arms of warm and decadent New Orleans. .. fun dancing and music all the times!!

Gli Alligator Nail si formano nel settembre 2005, nell’intenzione di offrire uno spettacolo dinamico e coinvolgente con un repertorio ricercato, contaminato da influenze Soul, Cajun e Zydeco.
I loro concerti offrono una notevole quantità di momenti ad alta carica emotiva, un’atmosfera suggestiva, vivacizzata da originali arrangiamenti, e da uno spirito d’inventiva sempre ironico,
nel quale risalta la brillante figura dei solisti supportata da una solida sezione ritmica.
Uno spettacolo festoso incorniciato da curiose sonorità, spesso create da percussioni e giocattoli, caratterizza il magnetismo di una band che vive pienamente la passione per questa musica, esprime energia e sa trascinare il pubblico in ogni momento.
L’immagine del palco carico di luci, dipinti e oggetti bizzarri, diventa lo scenario dove Stephanie, vocal leader e pittrice, indossa abiti, maschere e cappelli stravaganti, evocando così i colori e l’allegria delle strade di New Orleans invasa dai cortei carnevaleschi.
Dopo anni di concerti in tutt’Italia e all’estero (Svizzera in particolare),
la band lascia il segno in alcuni tra i più importanti festival del settore (vedi “Partecipazioni…”, in calce.)
Nel gennaio 2007 esce il primo cd, “Live Donation”, con 7 brani dal vivo (auto-prodotto).
Nel gennaio 2009 esce il secondo cd, "Surfin’ on the BIG EASY" (ora disponibile su iTunes), dedicato alla città di New Orleans e alla sua tradizione musicale .
In quest’ultimo è possibile ascoltare dieci brani di cui due originali "Coffe in the coffin",
che ricorda gli originali cortei funebri della Crescent City e "Worried Wife Blues”, l’ironica visione di un’improbabile moglie di un bluesman.
Una musica che evoca l'atmosfera del carnevale e i colori del Mardi Gras, le sfilate e il fascino trascinante degli artisti di strada; il tutto reso ancor più verosimile dalla presenza di amici musicisti di New Orleans, che hanno contribuito a rendere magico questo lavoro.
Partecipare a un concerto degli Alligator Nail è come immaginarsi seduti su una panchina del Riverwalk, sulle rive del maestoso Mississippi, abbracciati dalle attraenti braccia della torrida e decadente New Orleans. ... Divertimento, ballo e musica ogni volta!
