Ubuntu - "A person with ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed." -Nelson Mandela

Sam & his bestest bud, Miles
I'm Allison
I laugh a lot.
Sometimes...a little too loud
but that never hurt anybody
ok, maybe there was that one kid
Who am I?
I'm just a girl who worries too much about her son.
Music is an essential part of my life.
I sing my soul out.
I decided a long time ago to join a community that believes in God.
I believe in Love so much that it hurts me when others in that community act stupid.
I believe in Peace so much that it hurts me when that community and others use violence to end violence.
I believe in Grace so much that I stand as a misfit among a community of misfits.
What I want to do:
Bring Heaven to earth.
Live in the Kingdom.
Not look at Jesus through the lens that America says that I should.
Not look at Jesus through the lens that I say that I should.
I don't want to be a bad imitation of Jesus...like a bad imitation of Elvis....I just want to Love.
I have an amazing family.
My boys are my Love.
Peter Mark is my husband.
Sam is my son.
I don't want to be at war.
I pray for Peace.
I need more patience.
I want to be transparent.
I don't want to be selfish.
My friends at First Naz Youth Group teach me more than they know.
Mark is the youth pastor there and he amazes me every time he opens his mouth.
I want to be used by God...even if it just means in the smallest way....even if I never know it.
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
It's more than a bunch of rules....it's God. Selah.
I have this WeeMee at work on aim...I update it everyonceinawhile. :]
