Sounds Like
" ... sparse, but somehow joyful folk music. Think female hipster-dylan circa '61 (complete with mouth harp). "
- This Mornin' I Am Born Again
"... violently strumming her tiny guitar, mixing underneath addictive melodies that seemed to convey stories, as if she [is] singing directly to the exact person standing right in front of her."
- CMJ
"Her songs are constructed from melody as depth, rather than distortion and crash cymbals... she executes it with the right attitude and style."
- Joseph Craig (of Theart)
AHhhhhh, I love music, I can't stress that enough, I love listening to it and relating to it and writing it and playing it and singing it and having other people relate to it and feeling it all over and hearing it in things other than instruments and voices, this stuff is so important and personal to me so I hope you can appreciate it to some extent (or to no extent) as well. (Pardon my run-on sentence, think of it as me getting it all out in one breath). Please, please, give it all a listen, and if you like it, please help me spread the word and get as many people to hear it as possible. I am incredibly grateful for those of you who do listen and support me, please send me a message if you have anything to say, even if it's just hi. I have so much love for you guys.
I am from Portland, but currently in Boston. I am twenty years old.
I am on Base Trip Records and they are fabulous.

This may be a bit excessive, but I want to give everyone the slightly bigger chance of hearing good sounds and to have their good sounds heard, so here are some friends and bands I've played with that I believe are worth listening to. I guarantee that you will find something you like here. Sharing music is the best!
Thank you so much for "bandfriending" us, Allison Francis! We truly appreciate it.
We hope that you find something of ours that will wriggle into your ears, burrow down next to your heart (in a good way), and compel you to ROB US BLIND (again, in a good way: "Free downloads, ahoy!”…that is, if Myspace ever gets around to reactivating that feature).
If you like us, please, tell a friend. If you hate us, hell, tell an enemy!
Hey, I've got a new acoustic demo up of my song "Snapshot Chronicles" up now. Feel free to listen, comment, and if you like it tell your friends. If not, that's cool too.
Welcome to the whimsical world that is Show and Tell Gallery. See you at tonight's open mic, 8 pm.., 3 Friends Coffee House. Hugs, Melissa, Luke, & Nikia :) :) :)
