About me:
Bio:
Comedian Allison Leber, St. Vincent’s Class Clown 1992, began comedy when her therapist asked her, “If you could be doing anything, what would it be?
Allison took to the stage after a comedy of errors. She went to watch a friend perform, was accidentally entered into Columbus’s Funniest Person contest and placed second!
Allison’s excitement for life is so contagious that it sorta feels like a mild case of small pox. You just ain’t the same afterwards. One minute you’ll feel like you’re one of the gals, freezing bras at a slumber party and the next you’re getting a wedgie from the guyz in the locker room. She describes herself as equal parts Blair, Natalie, Jo, Tootie and Mrs. Garrett.
Allison has incorporated her love for performance on stage with full show production and collaboration with other artists to form Chicago Underground Comedy, SpitFire and the Lincoln Lodge in addition to her solo project Comics4Change. She also has created a two hour moving tour of Chicago.
Allison lives in Chicago and loves working in television, radio and live performance. She wrote, co-directed and starred in her own one-woman show “Hello, My Name Is…You.” She has worked comedy clubs in Columbus, Chicago, Detroit, Louisville, and New York City and has appeared on ABC’s “190 North.” and in numerous magazines.
