LIVE AT WAYWARD COFFEEHOUSE IN SEATTLE
Allison Preisinger is a Northwest singer/songwriter that has been deeply influenced by music since she was young. Allison began studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston in the fall of 2008 with plans to earn a degree in Professional Music focusing on Performance, Songwriting and Business. This summer (2009) she planned a small tour to share both new and old material with the Northwest, visiting venues like the Fairhaven in Bellingham, KSER 90.7FM radio, Under the Red Umbrella in Everett, Wayward Coffeehouse in Seattle and The Twin Paradox Café in Portland, Oregon. She was also booked to perform two nights at a conference held by KIA Motors at the Hyatt Olive 8 in Seattle. Allison is always interested to hear comments on who or what she sounds like. People have said she sounds like Joan Baez, Natalie Merchant, folksy, jazzy and even, just like Allison Preisinger!
In September of 2006 Preisinger released her debut album “Moving On, Moving Forward”. Available online at iTunes, through CDbaby and at performances the CD was received very well. Her fans described it as “honest” and “easy to listen to”. Boris Budd of What’s Up! Magazine in Bellingham, WA called the album “delightful” and compared her sound to artists like Neil Young and the Plastic Ono Band in a review of her CD published in August 2007.
Currently Allison is working on material for her second album she hopes to release in the next year. She is excited to continue learning all she can at Berklee and plans to perform more in the Boston area this coming fall as a solo artist as well as with her band.
Allison! I heard you on KSER!! You were amazing! I am so proud of you! You're inspiring me to write. I will try and come see one of your shows while I am in town. You're really good!
I don't know, my voice always goes out for a day or two when I get a really sore throat... annoying!!! I sound like I've been smoking cigars all my life or something, haha.
Hi Allison. Thank you for that nice comment. It is really good to hear from you. What brought you to Boston? I am so happy to see you are still working on your music. You were always so talented.
nice!!! for me it's just work, physical therapy for a few things, and looking for MY OWN brand new place : ) it's good stuff!!! So where are you going to school?
Ah, now it makes sense. It took me forever to figure out why the times were mixed up, haha, but I guess they aren't huh. :p
I don't know about everywhere else, but we don't move ahead until the last weekend of this month.
How is Allison doing?
Thanks for finding me! WooHoo! ya know, I remember back to your first show at the Green Frog. It was so good, except for that squeaky peddle on the piano. Sorry about that. We finally got rid of that piano. Haven't seen you in a while, hope you're doing really well!
Yeah it's been awhile. The economy has treated me kind of rough. If I had your talent I might be ok, lol. I was thinking about buying digitally, it seems I do have my iPod with me most of the time now, lol. If you do shows in the area that would be great.
