Allison Preisinger has been driven to music since she was a little girl growing up in Western Washington. She particularly remembers listening to music her parents always played. Bands like the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Paul Simon and Genesis. She loved to sing along and picture herself in that singer's shoes.
Allison's musical style and vocals have been compared to a variety of musicians such as Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan, Neil Young and Natalie Merchant. Most of her influences come from rock and alternative music she has listened to since she was young, as well as jazz and blues musicians she discovered later on.
Her latest CD, "Moving On, Moving Forward," includes some of her earliest material, which is how she came up with the title for the album. She considered different titles as she thought of the songs she was including. All she could think about was moving on from all of the memories and feelings behind those songs. Grow up and get on with it! The idea stuck, and she's moved on but she sure loves to share her thoughts and feelings with her audience. And yes, those are her shoes on the front.
Sorry that I missed your concert...really wanted to make it, but had things going with the kids. I wanted to tell you that I am very proud of you, and wish you soo much happiness...Please keep in touch! Take Care of yourself..please send your address when you get settled at school!
Allisooon!! Where are you?? I miss you. You were supposed to be here, remember?! Anyway, on a random note, sometimes I hate technology; when it's not working. Today is one of those times.
I recieved a course catalog for Berklee over the weekend, and HOLY COW $$! And I know you're out growing fins right now but I though I should say it anyway. :D
See, I knew you were leaving soon. YAY for no more work!! I should give you a call before that huh. So you can tell me about that performance coach you went to, which sounds pretty cewl btw. And so that I can tell you that I've been done with work for a week now and I'm loving it! And that Jesper has been in Florida for the last two weeks but that he's finally coming back tonight! :D And that I'm uberexcited about going to the US again. And... I'm sure I can think of some other things too. ;) Happy weekend!!! :)

Hey girlie...I know its been FOREVER. Which is pretty sad. It's funny that you wrote me cuz I was thinkin about you the other day. Crazyyy. Why you going to the East Coast? Well we should definately hang out. Go do something! :D
Yeah I think we're all going to hang out on the 31st instead of my actual birthday because I have to work that Saturday after my birthday. But that would be great if you could make it! No worries about your mom!
My pleasure, you sound better than ever! I've never seen Hunter actually pay attention to anything, it was great! Oh, and I'll make sure to tell any possible employers only good things.
So yesterday on American Idol someone sang Let It Be by the Beatles, and I was like "Where have I heard that song..?" And it hit me. When we were at XC camp and you sang that song for us. One of the best memories of XC. =)
Hello my sweet. I'm here to see how you are, and to tell you that I miss you, and that it's pretty silly that we live so close to one another and we still see one another so little. Let's quit that, okay? lol Hope to see you soon! Oh and my phone is dead until most likely Saturday afternoon, a heads-up, just in case.
Hi there Allison, we'd opened an artist showcase this past New Years. There's a submission form here if you're interested or want to pass it on to anyone..
