To begin this rant you must first understand my number 1 belief....
This world has nothing to do with us. Who we are externally - what music we listen to, what we wear, etc. means nothing in the long run.... it is who we are inside that counts. Our convictions- ideas- perceptions- and intentions are all that account for anything worthwile or meaningful.
It is time for the good to win out in this world. Who am I? hmm.. I strive to be the best person I can be, as we all do and hold the Golden rule as the standard barer for my life.I retain strong beliefs/convictions in a variety of subjects and I dont invest time, money, or devotion in things I don't hold a strong affinity to. I am a spiritual person but my spirituality outstretches text and traditions. I tend to be easy going and extremely loyal.Potentially Loyal to the death- my fatal flaw. And I am a SCIENTIST.... meaning I have times where I am socially awkward and I laugh hysterically to science jokes.. In essence- I am a geek. I have accepted it. I am attempting to become an INFECTIOUS DISEASE MICROBIOLOGIST and combat disease abroad. I dont care about being popular- I just want those closest to me to feel sincerely loved and above all- APPRECIATED.
Philosophically speaking: I am a Platonic Evolutionary Creationist. So in essence~ I live with my head in the clouds, believe science accurately depicts the world in which we live, am a follower of christ, and believe in the Platonic Forms. And NO I am not a psuedo-intellectual that believes that I am above anyone. Elitist? Definitely not me. I am a believer in true love. Very few of us are left in this declining world. We believe in never giving up, unconditional love and forgiveness, and yes- we tend to get overlooked and/or trampled on. We trust possibly too easily and potentially endure some painful situations longer than most would. But I believe that is what makes us beautiful. We never give up. We are strong. And in the end, we will find mates like ourselves and never have to worry of divorce, cheating, or dishonesty. We are givers, passionates, devoters, and above all- pure and honest in our devotion. I believe life is is all about giving your aid and love unconditionally to others while simultaneoulsy maintaining yourself.. I love spontanaeity and exploring new boundaries. I like to write but my life isn't sketched out on paper. I am shy at first but I am honest in what I say and sincere in what I do. I live with my head in the clouds and my feet on the ground.
