From the mid 90's - 2003 , Jakt became the staple band for Rap/Metal in North Carolina. Jakt played steady from Michingan to Florida and all parts in between and created quite a large fanbase. In 2003, with a great deal in hand, for a lot of reasons Jakt disbanded. In 2007 Jakt reformed to finish what was started in 2003 with producer Chris Hill, the recording of the third CD.
With a very strong demand for Jakt to play, the band decided to take the offer for a hadfull of shows before going to record, with StuckMojo, Rehab, The Penny Royals, 9th Corner and the Project Independent Showcase in Raleigh, NC.
How could we pass that up? . We have one more special show before going in the studio. On May 3rd, at the Volume 11, Jakt needs all our friends and fans to represent and show PI what this Johnston County band is all about.
