All Kills Aside is a 5 piece project based out of Springfield, Missouri. With Chad REV (formerly of FRAiL) on lead vocals, Slow (formerly of FRAiL) on guitar/vocals, Myk (formerly of Torn) on guitar, Clancey (formerly of The Lonely) on bass, and Reed Arnold (formerly of Inertia) on Drums. Though the group recently developed out of the Joplin/Willard area, AKA originated from a number of seperate entities.
Myk, Reed and Slow began experimenting with various different sounds after "Frail" suffered a critical set-back due to medical reasons. Working through numerous triplet patterns and teeth drilling rhythms, Reed, Slow and Myk made the decision to start a new project within minutes after the first time they ever played music together.
Finding themselves hesitant to even try combining the projects the 3 members decided to meet up with equipment to see how the gears turned. Myk and Slow sat down coordinating double guitar work. Then after many hours of trial, error, and who knows what else, AKA wrote 5 songs in 3 days.
The new trio went through a number of vocal try outs until they finally bestowed their sick creations in front of Chad REV (Frontman of FRAiL). REV Happily accepted the offer and their story winds deeper down the rabbit hole!
The final step came during the terrible terrible search for a bass player.Did we mention it was "terrible"? Low and behold Myspace Delivers us a former lead guitarist turned Bassist, In steps Clancey ready to take his new found position to a level that will lay waste to the oppositon.
Intense soul pounding rythms - pronounced timing over bouncy up-beats - chopped into staggered mathematical breakdowns. All engineered with a multitude of harmonized walk down, arpeggios, and split second solo work. AKA is carving their sound!
AKA is a fresh new breed of metal. The members are ready for battle and chalked full of endless drive. Armed and marked for departure from the "same ole" aged practice of metal, AKA is building an army that nothing can stand in the way of. Its just a matter of time until your town is hit by this storm.

I still haven't made the Top 35. Good thing I'm not a publicity whore! Good to see you guys at the Outland and I (or we) should be in Joplin on Friday. Save us a couple of tickets for the Riot Room and we'll pick them up then. Also, your performance (minus a couple of songs due to a camera fuckup) from the 6/28 Independence Day party in Mount Vernon are up for viewing. I'll get the DVD out as soon as possible. http://www. thebluecow. info/?page_id=48 MOVE!
REED!! Been watching you play for some years now. Yes, it's sad - I'm BJ Barton's mom and the bass player for Box of Hammers. See you next weekend and I'll be bringin' the boy. Rock!
