All Left Out would typically be described as having an alternative power-pop sound that energizes the soul in an exciting way. Leaving no room for watered down cliches, they bring “A message of hope and acceptance that comes from our hearts”, says singer Ken Pratten, allowing them to impact many lives. Having serious lyrics doesn’t put a damper on their music however, with the energetic beats of songs like ‘Things Fall Apart’ making it hard not to move your feet. Hailing all the way from New Zealand, better known for its sheep than musicians, All Left Out has been forging a path for other Kiwi acts to follow.
Playing with colossal acts such as Fall Out Boy and Rage Against the Machine could get to anyone’s head. Thankfully, in an industry often filled with prima donnas, All Left Out is a breath of fresh air. They are willing to get their hands dirty in order to get the job done-independently selling over 48,000 albums to date. “As the founder of the Vans Warped Tour, I have seen many great bands come and go over the past 14 years,” says Kevin Lyman. “There are few I remember fondly, for both their musical talent and their drive to be successful as a band. All Left Out is one of those bands.”
It was in 2002 that Ken Pratten and David Murray (guitar) began making music together. Nathan Speeden (drums) joined the line up in 2005; the same year, the boys independently released their debut album, Never Say Never, full of classic pop-punk rhythms and summertime anthems. With the addition of bassist Hiona Hay, they returned to the studio to record The Conquest, winning the boys a New Zealand Music Award. With these two releases, they have toured four years in with the Vans Warped Tour.
Their talent and originality can be seen in the fresh perspective they bring to an all too often bland genre. Throughout their sophomore release, The Conquest, they combine a vigorous mix of rock and orchestra with the thought-provoking storytelling of a man’s journey to find himself. Their highly anticipated third album, We’re Alive, will be sure not to disappoint!
Giving a live show that not only entertains, but engages, fans are left feeling as if they’ve just made a new friend. Pete Wentz said it all when he announced from stage, “I can’t say enough good things about All Left Out.” With a brand new album and major touring schedule, this year promises to bring many more faithful fans and friends to the following.

“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” Colossians 3:12-17 May God Bless You Today!
