Hailing from South Florida, All My Friends Are Dying began in the summer of 2007 as a group of friends who were once again reunited through a common love of music. There was no ultimate agenda or goal, except to work hard at playing music that we could truly be proud of and to play for as many people that would listen. Members of AMFAD grew up at a time when the Florida hardcore scene was in a renaissance of sorts. Many incredible local influences include Shai' Hulud, Bird Of Ill Omen, I Hate Myself, As Friends Rust, A New Found Glory, Glasseater, Strongarm, Keepsake, Where Fear & Weapons Meet, Milkshed, Further Seems Forever, Culture, Poison The Well, Morning Again and Hot Water Music, which all came about around this time. Since All My Friends Are Dying was created, there has always been mixed reactions about the name. We love the way someone will take the name seriously in one instance and then someone else will get a laugh out of it the next. AMFAD writes music that is brutal, melodic, fun, energetic, and most importantly, passionate. We feel that we can play any show regardless of genre, and in our short incarnation as a band, we've played countless shows with many different types of acts (Karras, Implosive Disgorgence, Traded To Racine, I'm The Devil, Maruta, My Complex Island, etc...) and have many shows to come. We have plans to tour this summer as well. We wear our hearts on our sleeves, and as cliche as this sounds, it's the truth. Don't be a stranger at the next show.
