I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano effortlessly!
Imagine sitting down at the piano at a gathering of friends and entertaining them with popular standards. Whether it’s Beethoven’s Fur Elise or a Billy Joel sing-along.
Or perhaps you just want to be able to play the piano for your own enjoyment and relaxation.
Whatever your goals, I will provide the mentoring and motivation for you to find your voice and learn to speak the language of music through online coaching in the privacy of your home.
Is it too late to work on technique? Shouldn't I have learned that as a child?
Musical tips and advice and basic finger exercises have been passed from student to teacher for over a hundred years. Let me share my 45 years of piano experience (as both student and teacher) with you to help you unleash your technique.
But I hate having weekly piano lessons!
Maybe you've had piano lessons as a child. Maybe you've even returned to lessons as an adult. But you still don't seem to be making any progress and you dread the thought of committing the time to yet another piano teacher.
Now you can practically teach yourself. I'll show you how you can take advantage of the best online resources for learning piano. We'll evaluate your technical issues together and start working on building a natural and effortless technique. Most of the problems adult piano students run into stem from trying too hard.
Playing the piano should be just that...PLAYING.
But can I really learn without a teacher sitting right next to me at the piano?
I will be sitting right next to you at the piano. With web-cam technology I can hear you and listen to you. And you can watch while I demonstrate on my end. If you'd prefer we can communicate only via email.
Have you ever done this before? Does it work?
I was one of the first teachers to offer online piano lessons almost ten years ago, before web-cams and YouTube videos. Through my former website at Piano-Mentor.com I communicated via email with pianists all over the world. Some were complete beginners, others were already quite accomplished and used our time together to set goals and discuss time management. It worked for them, and it will work for you.
How does it work?
You can set your own schedule. Here's what you do:
First sign up for a 3-day Jumpstart or a 7-day Intensive one-on-one session with me at http://www.allpiano.wordpress.com.
I'll will contact you within 24 hours by email to discuss your specific program of study. You tell me what you want to accomplish and together we'll decide how we can best meet your goals.
Then we'll decide the best way to communicate. Using a combination of technologies -- the AllPiano channel at YouTube, Skype, G-mail and e-mail -- we will begin an intense dialog that will get you moving in the right direction again.
Maybe all I need is a kick in the butt.
Half the battle is sitting down on the bench. I’ll show you how to get the most from your limited time. Whether it means putting in fifteen minutes before bed at night or getting up a half-hour earlier in the morning, AllPiano will get you back on the bench and provide the tools to give your playing the jumpstart you need to finally see progress.
This is not a "chord playing" piano course, or a learn to "play-by-ear- in- one-day course." These online lessons are for students who want to improve their piano playing without going back to the tedious lesson books from their childhood.
