one bright and sunny day in the summer of oh eight, i went to a secondhand serenade concert at thanksgiving point. the opening act in this lovely little shindig was a man by the name of john allred. at first, i couldn't stand his voice; but then, upon later investigation, i ended up falling in love with everything this man encompassed. but, back to the story. while at this concert, a friend and i were interested in buying a secondhand cd. we saw a merch table across the field and decided to see if that's where stuff was being sold. wrong. well, that was where stuff was being held, just not secondhand's stuff. that table happened to be the merch table for allred. the lovely little salesman running the place insisted that we not leave without buying a cd. so we grudgingly did. we got the cd autographed by john and took some pics. on our drive home from this partayyy we popped in our newly bought allred cd and listened. amazement filled our faces. weeks later, allred held a concert at a modeling agency. a different friend and i went to this lovely concert and had a great time. we found out amazing stuff about john and fell even more in love with his music than ever before. now, with this great summer concert season just beginning, allred has planned a concert for the 23rd of june at the midvale theater. i most certainly plan on going. (:
