About me: All Sparks Disco Party was born out of a love of live music, its not in competition to any other Leicester band nights as there should be more live events in our City.
Its generally about getting more people out to watch live bands & if that works it will benefit us all.
Thanks to everyone who made it out to Sumo for the return of SPOKES in March. It was lovely that they asked to come back (now as a signed band) after their storming set at the end of last year. Thanks also to the supports, WORRIEDABOUTSATAN and QUARTERSHADE who are currently holed up in a London studio working on their debut album.
Our very first night back in Jan 2007 featured THE SCREENING & QUARTERSHADE. Both bands were amazing & it was a massive success.... Well played to The Screening for getting SXSW in Texas, USA, good luck boys.... & good luck to Quartershade for their video on 3 first cut awards (watch it below) www.3firstcutawards.co.uk.
The 2nd night featured KILLQUICKS & SUB-ROSA. We had another really good crowd down, they both played awesome sets & it was a fitting end to KillQuicks final gig with the current line-up. They have got a deal lined up so good luck with the search to complete the line-up.
We had another very successful night in October with KALENA & COMPUTERMAN who played live to a really good crowd at the Y Theatre. Computerman are working on their debut album & we cant wait to hear it.
We welcomed back THE SCREENING for another headline set at our Christmas special night along with THE CRAVATTES. There was a great atmosphere in the packed theatre. Both bands went down really well, The Cravattes playing an excellent version of 'Christmas wrapping' and The Screening played an extended 1 hr set finishing with the awesome 'Sympathy for the devil'.
We then put on our first ASDP at Sumo. It was another really busy gig with LOVE ENDS DISASTER, QUARTERSHADE and THEMSELVES playing. No doubt we will be back at Sumo in the very near future.
Our next show was back at the Y with THE CHAIRMEN, THE MIDBEATS and THE HEROES and there is a video clip up on our profile page of The Chairmen so make sure you check it out.
We returned to Sumo in November and had SPOKES (from Manchester) headline, along with support from AMBROSE TOMPKINS and MATTHEW CHILDS.
Cheers to everyone who has supported us so far. Its been amazing and we will have some more nights lined up again after the festival season is over.
