About me:
STUDIO BUILD OUT COMPLETE . . .The Studio at Dulles - Meet and Greet
Come help us celebrate the GRAND OPENING of our new studio.
When: Friday, May 29, 2009 4pm - 11pm
Where: The Studio at Dulles, Sterling, VA 20166
What to do:
o Come meet area photographers, models, MUAs, Stylists, and Designers.
o Shoot in our shooting rooms. Each shooting room is 22ft x 22ft with 24ft ceilings. Various backgrounds and setups will be available. Studio lights and modifiers will be provided. Triggers and receivers will be provided. (Bring your own trigger if you have one.
o Dedicated room for MUA/Stylist preparations.
o Eats and drinks provided.
o Enter your work in our Photo Contest.
o Bring your business cards, comp cards, and advertising prints (up to 5x7) and post on our Community Bulletin Board.
$5 donations requested to cover food and drinks
Photo Contests:
Entry Fee: $5 per picture per category (Categories listed below)
Contest Categories:
Photographers: Votes based on technical merit and artistic composition
Models: Votes based on presentation, making the hard look easy
MUA/Stylists: Votes based on WOW factor - you define it.
All attendees will be permitted to vote. One vote per category. (No stuffing the ballot boxes!!!)
Entries can be prints or JPG files to be displayed on a computer screen.
Winners in each category will receive 70% of contest entry fees collected for the category (plus bragging rights).
Second place finishers will get 30% of contest entry fees collected for the category.
In case of a tie, entry fees collected will be split equally to the winners. (No second place fees distributed.)
Winners announced at 10:30PM.
More information will be provided as we think of it!!!!!
