Eventually becoming the lady of leisure life won't let me be yet. Dammit.
**kicks life in the balls**
Music
Radiohead, Patrick Wolf (Patrick... le sigh...), Placebo, Beck, The Libertines, Rufus Wainwright, Larrikin Love, The Arcade Fire, They Might Be Giants, Dirty On Purpose, Be Your Own Pet, The Clash, The Dead Kennedys (YES I still listen to them, SHUT UP!), Corn Mo (who is TOO a band, a ONE MAN BAND!), Franz Ferdinand, Massive Attack, Man Man. Lately I've even been listening to some Bright Eyes. FSM help me...
Movies
LOTR. Alien (just the first one, thankyewverymuch). Napoleon Dynamite. The Princess Bride. Pitch Black. Meeting People Is Easy. Raising Arizona. Pan's Labyrinth. Return of the Living Dead. 28 Days Later. Event Horizon (though I think I'm the only person on the planet who actually liked it). Jurassic Park. The Sound of Music (yep, a chick flick, kind of *g*). Brokeback Mountain (which is actually more of a chick flick than The Sound Of Music, when you think about it). Lucky Number Slevin. Highlander. Space Mutiny, as interpreted by MST3K. Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Twinks Swallow 4. oh wait... ignore that...
Television
Ghost Hunters, the inspiration for the BCPI series (the ghost hunting part, not the manlove part). Man Vs Wild, because Bear Grylls is SO crazy and SO damned hot; Ally is smitten. Heroes. Lost, STILL, dammit. Nip/Tuck, with which I have a love/hate relationship: love the show, hate the fucking characters. Mystery Science Theater 3000. Six Feet Under and Firefly on DVD. Those should still be on the air, people.
Books
Lord Of The Rings. Boy's Life. The Anita Blake books up through Obsidian Butterfly. Everything H.P. Lovecraft ever wrote. Stranger In A Strange Land, which changed my life. Ender's Game. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, except for Mostly Harmless which sucked donkey balls. The Syndicate series. Watership Down. Rain And Whiskey. Achilles' Other Heel. Red Dragon. Books of Blood, espcially "Jacqueline Ess: Her Will and Testament" which is the best short story ever written in the history of the world. My Fair Captain by J.L. Langley. The Heaven Sent series by Jet Mykles, especially Hell; I was Hell's first fangirl :D The Last Gasp, which I read for the first of like ten times in high school and which began my interest in environmentalism. The Demon of Detroit, which is the first horror story to scare me enough to keep me awake all night (I was ten; I'm thinking it wouldn't be so scary now...). The Zombie Survival Guide; very educational.
Heroes
Thom Yorke. He is the sun and moon and stars (to misquote his own lyrics back at him out of context). Which is why Chris Martin wants to be him so badly *g*
I write male/male erotic romance. I am published with Loose Id, Samhain, and Under The Moon, as well as the free gay ezine Forbidden Fruit. Check out my website, http://www.allyblue.com/

About me: I am a rich and famous author of hot gay manlove. I travel the world in my private jet, being waited on hand and foot by my team of 20-year-old pretty boys in snug-but-not-too-tight faded jeans (you know, the kind that hang low on the hips so you can see hipbones and happy trail). When I'm not jet-setting to parties, film premiers, etc, I lounge at home beside my freeform pool with the waterfall and have my private bartender (who is young, hot, and naked) bring me my Hurricanes and tequila shooters.

Okay, so that's my dream life. I really do write novels of Hot Gay Manlove & Angst, but I do that in between working at the Evil Day Job and doing Mom Stuff. Right now, I am sitting on the couch in my flannel jammies tapping away on the laptop, which is how most of my stuff gets written. Oh, the glamorous life of an author!
