Coming together from other bands such as VALEYRA, BRENTWOOD STARE, and BRING ON THE DESTROYER, Spanish For Valerie is the music we all have been wanting to make for the longest time but just never had the chance to embrace. Shorty after Valeyra called it quits in August of 2008, we had been wanting to start a band with musicians that were like minded and easy going. Ryan and Aaron got to talking about a band and style of music they wanted to produce, made a phone call to Jason, told him the idea and he was instantly in. Dusty was the first person in mind for the bass position and jumped aboard. While playing VALEYRA's last show ever we met John from BOTD and when it came time to fill the drum spot we gave john a call and he just seemed to click with us. We started writing and came up with 4 songs we were stoked on. Recorded them in June of 2009 and where the Story goes from here all depends on YOU! yes you! the one reading this! we need all the support we can get! SO TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!! we love everyone of yall! and thank you for being patient with us. SFV
