   About Al O’Kane

Welcome to Al O'Kane's myspace! :)

Al O'Kane and Tessa Bickers' NEW EP is NOW AVAILABLE TO BUY ONLINE, for only £4 including P+P!! Order your copy using the PayPal link below. APOLOGIES IF IT DOESN'T WORK - I THINK MYSPACE ARE BLOCKING OUTSIDE PAYPAL LINKS AT MO - WILL SORT IT SOON!!! >:(

I have been performing in the UK for nine years. I started by forming and fronting Alt/Blues/Folk/Rock band "Mañana Project", but now I have an ongoing solo project, still with a band sometimes, but involving different people as I move forward and evolve.

Currently I’m gigging solo with an acoustic guitar and occasionally with Tessa Bickers - our DEBUT EP IS OUT NOW and one of the songs on this page is on it - "See You Soon".

My continuing aim is to work with and be heard by as many people as possible, to make a difference and to be respected for being me.

Music is my life, my love and my meaning - I am now self employed as a musician, but it's not made anything any easier!

The songs I write are based upon my imagination, opinions and experiences in life, whether that's people or situations I've encountered, or an inner exploration on a certain feeling or topic, it all depends on the song and what headspace I’m in when I write.

The general message I aim to put across, (in an underlying, indirect and sometimes abstract way), is one of love, peace and respect to ourselves, each other, all living things and our planet...

Thanks for visiting and for your on-going support... And be sure to order your copy of mine and Tessa's debut EP! (see below). I will be releasing a SOLO EP in a couple of months too so watch this space - Things are finally staring to happen!!

Thanks, saw you at Acoustic Plus in Frome and thought it was mind-blowing - I'm an 18 year old guitarist/composer just starting out in this business, and that's the sort of show I want to put on in a few years!

How can I buy an album?

(Also, this is a little random but I think our parents vaguely know each other from teaching...)

Thanks Al- was good to meet you also! The other gig was great thanks- Paul, Dunc, and me witnessed some fisticuffs in the street whilst enjoying the evening air, which was exciting... And The Cheese and Grain rocked! Yes, am sure we'll see you next time we're down x

Cheers dude - Great tracks. 'Autumn Leaves' is a powerful track - Sung with as much passion and soul as Springsteen put into many of his songs.
