Sounds Like
When we play originals we definately have our own sound. When we play covers. sometimes we choose a close copy, and sometimes we add our own touch. It's fun to do it both ways.
We have some great talent all around with a lead vocalist whose influences are Janis Joplin, Eta James, and Ani Difranco and a lead guitar player who can play Clapton or Hendrix without missing a note.
We play mostly around the Akron/Cleveland area at local festivals, bars, and private parties, including Taste of Hudson Festival, Mocha Maiden/Musica, The Northside, and Club Tofu (The Mustard Seed late-night club).

Friday, June 15 - The Rhondas perform for the GOODBYE PARTY at Jimmy's Cafe. Sadly, this great funky artmospheric place is closing. Ever daring and bold, it will go out with a bang! It'll be open from 5-10 or so, but will ONLY serve COFFEE. It's up to YOU to bring the CHAMPAGNE and FOOD. That's right - you pretty much have to bring everything yourself, but it is your LAST CHANCE to hang out at Jimmy's. If you've never been there put it on your calendar cuz it's a must experience place. We'll start at 7:30, play a couple hours, then invite anyone who wants to play up to join us.
As of April 24th, there is still room for you at the 2007 retreat for Song Making on May 25, 26, & 27 in the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Workshop leaders are John McCutcheon, Peggy Seeger, Hal Walker, Sally Potter, and Michael Grady.
