The fact that the murder rate in KCMO stands at 87 (Two more than last year at this time) proves that all efforts to reduce violent crimes in the metro are failing. The Hot Spot Program, New Helicopters, Shots Spotters, Aim for Peace, Stop The Killing Safe House, a new Black Police Chief, prayer vigils and the Ad Hoc Group Against Crime all have proven to be useless in stopping the killing in the metro area. The KCK Unified Government once bragged about a 15% reduction in crime earlier this year. Now shootings and murders are rocking the city.

The culture of crime fighting is all wrong in the Kansas City area to be effective in the urban core. Many police officers, homicides detectives and Crime Stopper Tips Hotline operators are very rude and negative to African American tipsters and crime victims. This is a fact that the press never seems to highlight. Furthermore, there is a civic culture of doing things to impact crime over and over again that simply does not work. Marches, prayer vigils, barbecues and millions of dollars spent on things that don't work are examples of this culture. Events that took place today are clear examples of why someone in power needs to take a entire new approach to fighting urban crime in the city.

A earlier morning homicide brings the murder rate to 87. A interview with a relative of a recent homicide victim from KCK's spate of violence was scheduled to do a interview with Fox-4's Tess Koppelman backs out after approaching activist, Alonzo Washington for his assistance. The wife of the murder victim (Marlin Watkins) told Alonzo Washington that she was too afraid to speak out in the press. He was murdered in KCK last week on 43rd and Parallel. Other family members had agreed to talk to Channel 4. However, the fearful wife convinced the other family members not to. However, these same people planned a prayer vigil for the evening in honor of the victim. The wife claims that a KCK police detective told her not to contact him again unless she finds out who killed her husband and then hung up on her. Fear of criminals and mistrust of the police rules the inner-city. A deadly combination that keeps the city oppressed by violent crime.

Earlier this year activist, Alonzo Washington went on a hunger strike to protest the lack of success in stopping murders in the metro when the 33rd murder case took place in Westport in KCMO. The wife of Marlin Watkins confessed to Mr. Washington that her husband and his friends was involved in a Westport shooting. She fears that his murder is retaliation for that crime. A circle of crime continues in the metro with no one thinking of new ways to address the problem. The holidays seasons in the metro always increases violent crimes. Therefore, expect more murders and shooting to take place. Alonzo Washington is the only anti-crime advocate that will admit that nothing is working to address this plight. However, he is the only one that is not paid for his effort. All these other people who claim to deal with this problem want to justify their pay checks and funding. Therefore, they will never admit that they are all failing to stop the high amount of murders in the urban core of the metro area. Read the following report and realize nothing is getting better as it relates to crime in Kansas City. Most of the other people that all of the local news organizations interviews regarding this matter are too dishonest to admit that fact. If the problem can't be discussed honestly it's little hope that anything will ever change.

Can you believe that the top cop of KCMO is tying to take some credit for the murder rate being down by 3 people. If the KCPD was a football or baseball team they would be the Chiefs and Royals. Nuff said!!!! I realize no one really cares when Black people are killed or go missing. It's so clear and the media backs all of this up with their highly unfair coverage. Anyway, the local cops don't even follow up on many Black homicides. I know this for a fact. I have tipsters who want to come forward about murders and the cops write them off. I know who many killers are that the cops do nothing about. Many of these people are snitches who are in the drug and gang banging thing and the cops let them do all kinds of crimes for exchange of street information. I don't think they should do that. Plus, justice is so one sided in this racist country town. Many of these White criminals get breaks for committing horrible crimes and Black people get over charged for crimes that they commit. Like the girl that killed a old lady while driving and texting. She got no jail time until she broke her parole. The foolish Black guy who hit a bus driver is getting over charged after he assaulted the bus driver. That's what he should be charged with. Not hijacking. If he wanted to take that bus he could have. The driver was knocked out. Keep in mind Shon Pernice hardly got any time for killing his wife. This is why so many Black people don't trust the system. The murder rate in KCMO means nothing to most people in this city. If you as a human can be happy and feel like something is changing with 3 less murders in this hell hole you are really evil. The only reasons the murder rate is down is that most of the shooters in our city have poor marksmen skills. There is no motherfucking progress as it relates to shootings and killings in the urban core of the Kansas City area. The fact remains that no one really cares about these murders because most of the victims are Black. If you don't accept that you are living in a altered state of reality. Kansas City is a hell hole of shootings and death for a certain group of people and most of Kansas City is cool with it. The press cares more about a dumb ass chief player being knocked out while playing a dumb ass game and getting cheered than the weekly slayings of Black people in our city. The press can't handle the truth of my words. Most of KC is too racist to care.
