About me:

Raised from a humble family background, Aloysius has always been a fighter in his heart towards life. Music stepped in at the age when high school and church lead him to an open ear and new love for it.

First, it started with little beats and drums.. and in a matter of year, it was rhythms, melody and the guitar.. And years after, the calling came and settled for an important role in gospel church music, The Bass.

Thanks to all the years of music influences from the perspective of percussions and rhythms section that brought him great understanding in the role of the Bass instrument.

He has since worked hard on it since. As the age finally came to his first job, it was the first step to his music dreams. Yes, he finally could afford for his first music class under Singapore's top Bassist, sessionist and also teacher, Mr Ignatius Bong.

From adopting new skills such as sight-reading, knowledge, technique, skills and scales came into play whenever he goes.. Be it in a performance or even listening to records, creative ideas flood his mind that keep the adrenaline pumping as he taps his feet and occassionally groove his body shamelessly in the public knowing his position as a musician.

With this right attitude and self-discipline, He has since worked with numerous musicians and dared himself towards different genres he has never tried before. Jazz music has a sting finally as he reach a level of understanding that theory was indeed a great tool to all these talk about Jazz.

Aloysius is now working on a few bands.

With a group of 3 other local musicians form a band called, Azure, which he supports the band leader, Leon Ho, with his songwriting and composition skills. This group has raved the Singapore Chinese indie music since for many years before Aloysius stepped in as their final bassist.

Aside from Azure, Aloysius is now coming up with a new concept, a new band. This band is lead by Kelton Ching, born in America but raised in Singapore, studying fine arts and pursuing higher vocal standards by taking up classical vocal classes from a professional. This new band consist of 3 other talented younger musicians with the passion of Japanese music, English Pop music, Fusion music and also Ethnic sounds. They have started out to work out on covers of japanese and english artistes such as the likes of Kokia, Ayaka, Roma Tanaka, Ken Hirai and Kelly Clarkson. They will be appearing to public sometime in early 2010.. so stay tuned!!
