The Alpha Primitives have been playing in Indianapolis since 2003. They play original rock in the CBGBs tradition, with an emphasis on political protest songs. Instead of a self-serious "message" approach, the songs are satirical and ironic. For example, "King George" depicts a chilling and all-too-plausible vision of President Bush refusing to leave office when his second term ends, "Police State" is a take on the Patriot Act, and "The Foxes" is an ode to the women of Fox News.
A note about Greek grammar: in ancient Greek, the use of alpha as a prefix to show the absence or deprivation of what follows – as in modern English words like “asymmetric” or “arrhythmic” – is known as the “alpha privative.” The Alpha Primitives, on the other hand, were a bestial sub-class of the race of Inhumans, and first appeared in Fantastic Four 47.
I like your sound. You have a familiar sound, but don't be insulted if you don't want to sound like anyone else. :-).
Your style reminds me of music I would listen to while sipping iced tea and visiting with friends and relaxing.
