BIOGRAPHY :
All began with the roots of Punk. This was in 1976/1977. In some ways, a new revolution also started around 1979 that relies in the strict use of analog electronic drum machines, austere bass or synth lines and nihilistic voices to contradict the sterility and rigidity of the Punk Movement. A new aesthetic was born. An unheard pernicious style that doesn't fear using the etheral aspect of life ( but without the cliché ). A self-discipline thematic combined with the classious & the sobriety ( as in attitude than in designs & outfits ). This new kind of European Muzak has drown the lines under the names of New Wave, Cold Wave, Industrial & Post Punk.
On the those DIY synthetic ashes, keyboardist/bassit/singer RIGECK RODGERS created the Oldschool New Wave band DIVERGENCE ( see friendlist below ) with Mathis L.C in 1996. The band was heavily influenced Joy Division, Fra Lippo Lippi, Section 25, The Names...well, a lot of Factory Records and 4AD Wave Records.
ALPHA SEQUENZ Analog Post Synth Projekt saw the day five years later in order to try to maintain this forgotten spirit & 'F'orce in action. This time the option was now to take a more synthetic minimalist & raw electronic way. In Parallel, this was motivated by the worldwide revival interest into Analog Gear & Moogs.
Then after (2001), things and ways of communication where even more reduced than today where the Net has now become a Global Network Entreprise where everthing,everyone & none is instantly connected... There were really few informations about 80's Analog Synth Music on the web. It was real pain to contact or try to share this passion with people.
From this need, visceral passion for Confidential & Underground Post Synth / ColdWave & Minimal Elektronik, ALPHA SEQUENZ began to built his own studio called SHLETER ONE STUDIOS. First song written, First geometrical "HIT". "DAWN LINES". A perfect mix between GREY MOOD, DIY ANALOG and EARLY 80's COLDWAVE.
The Formula was found and -since then- will never be left. RIGECK never kept working on a LP called "AXIAL EQUILIBRIUM LP" that endly saw the day in September 2008 ( contact the band directly to purchase this Gemm )
The Formula...sometimes instrumental & only rather acoustic ( Bass/Guitar/Voice/Synth ) or sometimes strictly synthetic ( Drum Machine/Synth) but always a sort of sensible source of diverse avant-gardist influences.
This music has been made with heart, feeling and no lies. it has been produced with references, from a wide range of music : Ambiant, Electronica, Krautrock, Psychedelia, Post Rock, Slowcore and much more. Fasten your seatbelts and listen !
