dear Alphonse: Thanks for the add. The pieces you've posted reveal an exquisite ear for timbre as an essential structural component. Haunting, lovely work. Look forward to hearing more - gil.

Alphonse,

I am digging "Gretel". Bill's vibraphone is especially nice. Reminded me, in parts, of the sounds of the bells on the cows in the countryside of Thailand. An amazing sound. Thank you for sharing! You are the best!

Hey Tom, So I was listening to a bunch of your music on your website. I must say you are quite good. I really enjoyed everything. Too bad you've dedicated your life to being unknown and poor. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Did I mention:

...that your wind-quintet-in-progress -- or the movement we heard, at least -- sounded terrific? There were some things in there that I was seriously coveting.

...that my Prism piece was very directly inspired by Wunderkammer?

...that you look ravishing in that black leather jacket?

I hope all's well, my friend.

I dig Wunderkammer... You should have taught us how to create that kind of meditative sound rather than about this stupid MySpace thing... Yeah, I said it, and now I'm sure the secret MySpolice will be after me.

Sir Alphonse,
you have a superb ability, and I'm honored to be able to share it with you on stage (even if there are folks talking on cell phones in the middle of a quiet passage- and angry audience members shushhing them...surreal). -I

Thanks for the add!

I like the music! "Between Twilight" is stunning (the Kaoss Pad is a great instrument!), and "Creation Myth" has some wonderful moments in it.

Glad to hear another CT-based composer! Keep me informed as to your performances!

Hey! I am taken by the "Between Twilight" clip..it resembles the "Motet" clip on my page...except yours includes a wonderful electonic and percussive atmosphere. Really digging the selections on your page.

Thanks for the request!

Hey Alphonse!

I can't get enough of Prelude.Dream.Memory ... such great use of whitenoise percussion to create this sense of space... based on your explanation of it, I'm curious if you have other recordings, developing different motives?

I had a great time working with you this past spring. I would be willing to do more this summer if you are up for it. (Even though you get kind of looney when your conceptualizing, it seems to work) Let's talk soon.
