As part of the events to celebrate the Moctezuma exhibition at the British Museum, bringing the rediscovery of the world of the Aztecs (Mexica) and the traces of the foundation of modern Mexico, Alquimia has been invited to perform at the theatre of the museum on the 15th of January at 6.30
The event is due to last one hour, with narration in English, accompanied by percussion and imagery, music, multilayered chants in Nahuatl, and dances based on Alquimia..s own interpretation of the pre-hispanic Mexican culture.
Some of the songs to be performed this evening:
"The Night Of The Alebrijes" from her album "A Separate Reality"
"Coatlicue, Aztec Goddesse of the earth" from her forthcoming album: "Coatlicue"
Music can take us through unknown dimensions....alchemy of the mind, the time and the space...
Alquimia takes you on a journey to an ancient world of Mayans, Aztecs, druids, bards, and mythological legends.

Walk and touch peace every moment. Walk and touch happiness every moment. Each step brings a fresh breeze. Each step makes a flower bloom. Kiss the Earth with your feet. Bring the Earth your love and happiness. The Earth will be safe when we feel safe in ourselves. ~Thich Nhat Hanh

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
are there are no lengths or limits to reach the luscious full ripened blackberry
Cliffs to surmount as its glistening beckons forward
I’ll just have a few plucking ripe from the bramble but then purple stained fingers many hours later .. mmmm …deliciously full from autumns store, natures gifts for all to explore .. happy picking much love Lib xx
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover - Mark Twain
