In a infinite world of sound, sound is the companion of our thoughts. Black Saturn is a concept created in this reality. Life is a rhythm in a series of thoughts. The heart is an acoustic drum nothing is new and nothing is old under the pulsating pattern of emotions percussion. The mind is a improviser a drum machine echoing in the reverberation of the subconscious until it becomes a drum pattern in the conscious. The noise of change thought battles to over come as a rhythm. I'm a warrior drum the most feared of all instruments calling things into being that are not as tho they already where.
FluiD was formed in Chicago, Il. in 2007. It is the solo project of Christophe G. aka The Post-Human Cyborg: subduxtion. Equal parts myth, afrofuturist, anarchist, composer, cultural-activist, deviant, multi-instrumentalist, sound-scientist and vegan. I am originally from Los Angeles (Leimert Park), Ca., now living and working in Chicago, Illinois. Formerly the keyboardist/bassist for Impulse, D.O.D., Wardrobe Cathedral, Immaculate Corrosion and Drug Of Choice. I also contributed synths and programming to Los Angeles based industrial/goth rock group Die My Darling. Appearing on their debut CD 'Virulent' (Trisol 2002). I first discovered music through the clarinet, playing the instrument from the age of six years old. I began studying the piano at age ten, studying both classical and jazz musics and later learned the tenor sax, flute and oboe. I also spent two years studying orchestration in college. I think of myself as an "abstract sound sculptor". Sound sculpting is more about creating a mood. It's about creating music that provokes the imagination. I released my first record with Impulse, a four-song EP of electro-funk.
2000 saw the release of the industrial/acid-house/rap collision titled 'Warhol Machine'12" followed that same year by 'The Dream Is the Drug' 12" featuring Tequila Mockingbird. Since that time I have continued to release a large amount of music both as a solo artist (Re: dux tion, subduxtion and FluiD) and collaborator (with Black Saturn, Selbst-Morder, Finger Painted Death and John 3:16) on various independent labels around the world. Encompassing a multitude of styles and influences - techno, jazz, noise, classical avant-garde, hip-hop, psychedelia, metal, dub, early industrial and ambient. I have performed with bands as diverse as my own expansive creative output: Mutual Divorce, ONO, Null Device, Abaddon, ReDeMer, Stress Ape and The Dark Clan. As a remixer I have manipulated and re-constructed songs for Ganymede, Fr/action, Heat From a DeadStar, Blood Into Water, One Dead Fuck, Worms of the Earth and DisinVectant
John 3:16 is a unique experiment relying on the broad culture of its solo composer. Heavy and aerial, the music is leading here. No rules to follow as no genre wide enough to encompass all the elements in John 3:16. In between soundtrack, ambient electronic and drone, each track is a piece of space somewhere, far away from here.
LaptopAcidXperience (aka LAX aka Roger Armstrong) has been making electronic music since the early 90's when the Rezerection raves in Newcastle and the legendary John Peel introduced him to Acid House and Techno. The DIY mentality of the early Chicago and Detroit pioneers influenced him to produce his own material and ultimately led to film making, after several shorts & music videos he is currently nearing completion of his first feature. Work Trax was produced by illicitly creating loops on a computer at work using a stand alone copy of frutyloops running off a USB flash drive. The loops were then taken home imported into Ableton live and sequenced into full tracks.

have just started posting pod casts - there’s been three to date the
latest - (newly posted as of today) being a hefty slab of Fluid, not to
be confused with the mid 90’s Sub Pop combo of the same name or the
powerised carnage trio from Germany who graced these very pages
sometime last year with the killer ’iots’ full length. Instead this
variant hails from Chicago - the solo project of Christophe G aka the
post human cyborg: subduxtion. pod cast 1 features the apocalyptic
future rap of Black Saturn in a face off with Subduxtion - absolutely
no info on Black Saturn other than the small detail that he hails from
Virginia. Anyway its all edgy stuff, intense and bleakly scribed with a
doom scarred outlook which we swear once uncovered of its binary
squiggles and general austere and off kilter confused communiqué
discordance sounds like Public Enemy relocated to a landscape more
befitting a scene from Blade Runner - mind you we swear we have their
album kicking about (though typically with these things we can’t
immediately put our hands to right now) and from what we’ve heard this
should be well up the street of those of you who recall Silver Bullet
from a few years back while simultaneous veering territories previously
surveyed by Depth Charge. Its witheringly hollowed stuff but well worth
checking out. Pod cast 2 features 40 plus minutes of towering
transcendental stateliness from the aforementioned John 3:16 - really
has to be heard to be believed sounding as it does as like some contact
seeking extra terrestrial time capsule shipped in from across the
cosmic voids from a long since dead civilisation - absolutely stunning
and all at once magnificent, monolithic and majestic. As hinted
previously the latest episode - 3 therefore - features Fluid. ‘the
sonic art of juxtaposition’ features a 30 minute showcase of sound
which quite frankly can only be best described as some fantastically
magnified peak into a insectoid lair, very eerie and at times
disturbingly hollowed and dark, the arid ambient cascades, ripples of
white noise interference and the achingly slow evolution of the aural
textures much reminiscent at times of both Aidan Baker and Soriah yet
on the other hand briefly revealing by way of the becoming gloom swept
tide daubs suggesting perhaps someone has been tuning into long
forgotten 70 Gwen Party cassettes. Whatever the case its consuming
stuff best viewed and experienced we feel in the cold harsh light of
day preferably with the lights on and with the company of friends."

Review:
This ambient / drone project based in the U.K. called John 3:16 is apparently the work of one man who's identity, much like the 7 pieces of music presented on this full length self titled release is shrouded in darkness and mystery. These instrumental compositions can certainly be called fairly minimalist as far actual sounds go, relying primarily on lengthy vibrant drones colored with a plethora of simple, yet highly effective and atmospheric sounding keyboards. Each track unfolds at its own deliberate pace, gradually increasing in tension as it progresses along its trajectory. The songs are finely crafted and easy to listen to, putting the listener into a relaxed state even though the music resonates with feelings of coldness and despair. The song titles, like the name of the project have allusions to the bible so perhaps there is some sort of a subliminal message to be had somewhere beneath the clinically layered sound? If you like music with a dark and ambient feel to it, then John 3:16 is going to be right up your alley. Ultimately in the end, this is a rewarding listening experience and one worthy of checking out.
Review:
Chicago and its underlying areas seem to be a real hotspot for the more interesting music in America as of late. Everyone from Locrian to Natassja Noctis to the late Judas Iscariot have dwelled in and around Chicago and now a new (used vaguely) fiend to the rhythmic electronics scene has emerged in subduxtion. This is a solo project of Christopher G., formerly of California's lo-fi punkers Wardrobe Cathedral and several other bands on the underground. Despite the low-key character that Christopher has maintained, as well as the fact that he's a multi-instrumentalist in the non-electronic world, Christopher has really gone a long way to make an excellent rhythm & noise anthem here with Un-mxd & Maniupulated. You'll also be interested to know that during his time in California, he contributed synth and programming to Die my Darling's debut affort Virulent, which was ironically released on the famous German [Trisol] music label. While Alrealon is definitely not a label that measures up to [Trisol] by any stretch of the measure, its a label that's really trying hard for its artists which is evident by the fact that they've created 500 promotional copies of this release. With subduxtion's Un-mxd & Manipulated, there's not much experimentation going on at all. In fact, this is a pretty sold straight-forward rhythmic release. With an incredibly urban feel but still not unakin to a band like [Distopia] whom have an infinitely darker texture within their music. The background of subduxtion's music has a very slight hint of dark ambient and death industrial atmosphere that somehow erodes the urban flavor into dust though. subduxtion's music is for the night city shadows. The alleyways at midnight that are obscured in the city lights only by the buildings they move between and the silent evils that typically dwell within. The urban feel is also apparent with Chris' need to dip into a little of every genre, from techno and dub to hip hop and jazz and back to metal and even avant-neoclassical. Obviously industrial and ambient music play a key role in his textures as can be heard evidently by anyone who listens to his music. Chris is also self-defined as an anarchist which helps add to the darker image of the band and relating to the cities once again. A simple one-man army in the night, carrying a banner of revolution through a street no one sees at a time no one walks. A living contradiction, and yet an immensely important part of the industrial underground for the modern era of music. subduxtion is inmistakenly one of the up-and-coming artists in the rhythm & noise underground and is sure to make some noise in the coming years with his defiant releases.
Review:
‘Ancient Kingdom’ is the first full length release project coupling Black Saturn’s spoken words with subduxtion’s ‘noise’. An innovative album, the beats remain dark, haunting and at times claustrophobic. Static sizzles throughout the opening track, ‘Simulation Failure’, threatening to catch alight at regular intervals. The pictures painted by the lyrics certainly aren’t pretty but are occasionally lost amongst the distorted beats. Slightly nauseating at times due to the undercurrent created by the crackling distortion, complete listens are certainly a challenge but a challenge that is worth undertaking due to the nature of the rewards on offer. This is an album for those that have enjoyed recent offerings from the likes of Saul Williams and Argumentix.
