Influencesall sorts
Sounds Like"GOOD OL TEETH GRINDING, HEAD BOPPING NASTYNESS" - Vox

"Bursting onto the stage with a chaotic and frantic disposition were Alright the Captain playing as if encountering some form of demonic possession? The Quartet are predominantly instrumental, as no singer would even attempt to sing over this wall of noise. Despite providing us with a half hour of regimented chaos, the unyielding volume of noise did become too much towards the closing of their set. That being said instances of 65 days of static and Battles, i believe could be heard, Arguably a flattering comparison." - SANDMAN MAGAZINE

"I should be your vocalist" - Abi Titmuss

"I think it's great, Its like Deranged art surf!" - Marco Pirroni (Siouxsie and the banshees)on Monster surf manual

About Alright the captain (on Tour w/ MBMR)
Based in the Midlands but originally from Birmingham, Nor'n Ireland, Norwich & Leicester before meeting in Notts, Alright the Captain? write whats comes naturally in the practice room, culminating in a weird mix of musical stylings with an elusive sound that ranges from the down right strange and dirty to melodic day dreams that spiral into insanity.

From the distorted synth bass to the angular dissonance of the rhythm guitar through to the ambient delayed lead guitar textures and the solid drum tracks kicking against the glitchy electronic loops and trippy samples, Alright the Captain? have a unique musical character and an open minded approach to their genre bending anti-rock

We can usually be found hanging out in many of the local venues supporting the local music scene, which is really strong at the moment so come along and support unsigned music, also check out the bands in our top friends we love em all alot!

So Alright the captain we have a wonderful plan for this Thursday night.

You definitely should go and see The Mirimar Disaster, I am Colossus, Slab and Mothertrucker at the Asylum ........and then you should pootle on down to Exiles and get all drunk with all the aforementioned bands as they will be coming out to play and celebrate being awesome altogether.

If you turn up with a ticket stub from the gig we will let you in for £2 where you can boogie on down to Rock music not normally heard in Shiny Brummingham.

Check out our website and see what awesomeness we’ve been playing.

Alright fellas!!!

We are good. 3 of us are shattered because we have just come back from reading festival and 1 of us is still in France. We are waiting to get back to practise so we can at least remember the songs for our gigs coming up.

We are looking forward to the gig with you guys, how is it down your end?

Chichester? Never heard of it, altho there's a few that end in chester... I'll find out, if it is I'll make a special trip! Things are good- I may have just found my DREAM JOB... now I need to just put some action into it and hopefully centre in on the one of actually getting it! Things are picking up, London is a pretty shite place to be when you're out of cash so summer's been dull, I should have gone home for it! Xkx

GPR – Global Pirate Radio – is a free to air Metal/Rock internet radio station.
We specialize in rare tunes that you don’t hear on FM radio.
You will hear the famous and the not so famous. Wednesdays nights we do a Myspace Night, in which we feature bands from our Myspace friends list who have submitted songs to us for airplay.
The station is on air 24 hours a day with frequent live shows hosted by our dedicated on air streamers.
We have a chat room attached to the station where you can meet the “GPR Family”
Talk about the tunes, make requests or just come and chat to the crew.
It is a real time chat room so posting is instant - no waiting around for board replies.
Come and check us out … you have nothing to loose but a lot to gain.
Kick ass music and heaps of new friends all over the globe.

I see you are free this saturday. If you do not come to our gig at Rock City, do not be surprised if you suddenly have venomous snakes in your sock drawer, or aids in our veins, or even worse.
See you there guys!
