Le groupe se compose d'un trio vocal accompagné de 4 musiciens, Rhodes, basse, batterie et guitarre. Aujourd'hui, ils s'exposent au public avec l'autoproduction d'un premier album intitulé EveryDay Life ; un fin mélange de soul, jazz et Hip-hop.
L'acronyme ALS s'accorde de nombreuses significations depuis les débuts du groupe : Auspicious Love Sounds, Adventure Life Sacred, Affirmations Loud & Serious ...A Love Supreme en hommage à deux des plus grands musiciens de tous les temps John Coltrane et sa femme Alice Coltrane...

Retour en 1999, Jahta aka Huka et eternAll aka Dolin étaient membres du collectif reggae Yaleen et rencontraient Nya qui partageait les mêmes influences pour le reggae, la soul, le jazz.
ALS se forme en 2004. Alors que Huka et Nya composent pour Gasandji, l'african jazzy soul lady, ils recontrent ferricia-fatia , la poéte/chanteuse qui devient l’élément fédérateur du projet et apporte ses influences Spokenword Slam Poetry. L'alchimie est instantanée... et naissent les premiers morceaux Through My Door, Long time et Free.
Ensuite, c'est Otuawanartiste, chorégraphe Hip-hop qui rejoindra le corps vocal et sera suivie des musiciens JD(guitarre), Boubakeur(batterie).
ALS est un groupe de scène. Ils distillent leur grain de soul teintée de jazz avec le soutien des musiciens Mike Benoist(sax et flûte), Romain Brugère(sax et flûte) et Fabrice Thompson(trombone et percussions). Rasul Siddik(trompette) fera honneur de sa présence sur quelques concerts.
Après deux années d’écriture, de répétitions... et plusiers dates dans les temples de la Soul Parisienne tels le Canal Opus, Le Réservoir, La Scène Bastille, L'Olympic, Le Nombril, Le Charlie Birdy et quelques festivals... Nya et Jahta entrent en studio pour enregistrer les 18 titres d'EveryDay Life.
L'album se laisse définitivement écouter laid back mais ne vous y fiez pas! Sur scène ALS séduisent par leur complicité, leur énergie. Les membres du groupe puisent dans leurs racines pour délivrer la vibe soulphonique.

The band was created in the spring of 2004. Huka & Nya were producing for Gasandji, the african jazzy soul lady when they met ferricia fatia, spokenword artist/singer. ferricia helped to iniatiate the project. Her poems turned songs birthed the album's first tracks Through My Door, Long time and Free.
Otuawan, Hip-hop artist, then joined to complete the vocal section and enhance the urban ambiance of the family. Later on she would be followed by the 2 eccentric musicians JD (guitar) and Boubakeur (drums).
ALS is a live band with an unique jazzy and improvised sound that grew out of collaborations with musicians like Mike Benoist (sax & flute), Romain Brugère (sax & flute) et Fabrice Thompson (trombone & congas). Rasul Siddik (trumpet) blesses ALS performances with his genius.
After 2 years of songwriting, rehearsing... and over 20 concerts performed in the Meccas of Parisian Soul music Canal Opus, Le Réservoir, La Scène Bastille, L'Olympic, Le Nombril, Le Charlie Birdy to name a few and also the Cerny festival, Nya & Jahta hit the studio to produce the crisp and meticulously arranged 18 tracker Every Day Life.
At first listen the album has a laid-back lounge vibe... but ALS can also jump on stage to deliver a remarkable show, sharing an invigorating energy & enthusiasm inspired by their undying love for the People and the music. C'mon enjoy the Soulphonic vibe!
