Unwavering senses of collective individuality and personal strength are what birthed hip-hop, skate, punk and graffiti – and every youth movement of the last 30 years. Altamont Apparel Ltd. is proud to announce the release of the 10.Deep and Scott Sasso for Altamont Collection. Through gritty, utilitarian fashion pieces and critical, oft-provoking graphics, the 10.Deep collection continues to reflect the contrarian ideals of the cultural movements from which both brands were birthed.
The 10.Deep for Altamont collaboration by Scott Sasso continues this tr adition. Taking cues from the namesake Altamont tragedy of 1969, Scott invokes the event and the era through motifs like a raceway checkerboard pattern, a bloody arm, psychedelic imagery and a reference to the infamous event security, or lack thereof. All these elements are incorporated with Scott’s signature 10.Deep attention to detailing and unique patterns to create a completely modern brand mash-up.

All these elements are incorporated with Scott’s signature 10.Deep attention to detailing and unique patterns to create a completely modern brand mash-up.
As an adolescent in New York City, Scott Sasso, founder of 10 Deep, found his inspiration and built a brand to reflect the ideas and ideals of youth street culture. Launched in his college dorm room, the name was ultimately chosen from a list of 50 because of its bold sound. As a slang term, 10.Deep describes a group of 10 people brought together in a show of force. As a brand, the name is a reference to a person's 10 fingers and the power of a single strong individual to affect change.
Take a gander at the two videos from another fellow Altamont contributor, Patrick O’Dell (Epicly Later’d). He captures Scott discussing the tribulations of growing up and the ever constant desire that has fueled him to create something original.

About Altamont
Find a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life.
Confucius said that a long time ago, and all of us here at Altamont live by that principle today. We love to design exceptional clothing. Each season, Altamont is honored to bring together a diverse group of creative outcasts — people who make their living by doing what they love most — be they skateboarders, musicians, artists or designers. These people are, like Altamont, cut from a different cloth, and we invite their direct contributions to our collection so their stories will inspire you to pursue whatever it is you love, and maybe even splash some paint yourself, slap metal to coping, start your own band, and make a contribution.
We know that not everyone is going to like everything we do, and that's fine with us. Altamont isn't meant for everyone. In fact, we hope those people will consider this an invitation to get up and start their own clothing company!
