I go by the moniker Donna Verne, aka "DV." I am the founder and CEO of Altared Lives Mins., which runs Altared Lives Holy Hip Hop & Urban Gospel Radio. Altared Lives is a 24/7 Interenet radio station that streams gospel hip hop and urban gospel. Altared Lives Radio started out as a local radio broadcast in Lakeland, FL in 1992. The show consisted of 15 minutes of music and Bible teaching, both of which centered around the same theme or topic. Topics included a wide range of subjects, such as abstinence, dating, evolution, proofs of the resurrection, peer pressure, drug abuse and more. The show ran from 1992-1995, and 1997-1999. The last year, it expanded to a 30-minute show. In 1999, "Altared Lives" went online with my personal web space. In 2000, the domain name of altaredlives.com was obtained. Then altaredlives.org became a reality in 2003. However, there was no music involved in the web site -- just teaching articles, humor, urban gospel & holy hip hop music artist links, and such. But in 2002, "Altared Lives Radio" was resurrected online during Resurrection weekend on Live365.com! At that time, Altared Lives Radio spinned mostly urban gospel music like Kirk Franklin, Dawkins and Dawkins, Winans Phase II, and the like. But in 2003, after attending the Holy Hip Hop Awards in ATL in January, I converted Altared Lives Radio to a station that spinned mostly Gospel rap (aka "holy hip hop"). In March of 2005, Altared Lives Radio launched out independently from the Live365.com network and became the Internet radio station that is now.

Well, my greatest Hero is my Savior and Lord, of course. Then the apostle Paul. Then I think my mom, who is with the Lord now. Then comes men of God like Dr. Mike Murdock (my "wisdom" teacher) and Dr. Mark Chironna.
