Altercation has had a chaotic history with their line up. Vince (guitarist) and Nina (singer) are the writers of the band and they arrived in the UK from Paris in 2006.
Their first demo was recorded at Music City in New Cross and it included the songs Shallow, Souless City and Silence.
They played their first gig at The Bull and Gate Kentish Town and then went on to play in various small venues around London for the rest of the year. In 2007 with the arrival of their new drummer they recorded a second demo at The Enterprise, Soho. It included their old songs as well as three new ones : Insomnia, Artificial Paradise and Sick of you.
They played at the Islington Academy in 2008 and ended the year with a gig in Paris at Sentier des Halles in December 2008, financed by Banana Castle Records who have been involved in the recording and production of the new 'Dress Up EP'. The new year brought them a new rythm section : Ko on the bass and Vero on the drums.
They've just finished recording their new 'Dress Up EP' which includes the songs London City and Love Suicide. The band has shifted up a gear thanks to the musical chemistry within the new line up.
The new EP is to be released and launched in October 2009 in CD format but will be available on ITunes and all other major download sites from August.
