Tickets can be purchased from anyone on the "top friends" list (Excluding the Bands). Send them a message and/or find them at school. Please contact us for more detailed information on how and where to get tickets.

About me:
Fed up with school prom?
Us too.
Can't afford school prom?
Us neither.
Alterna-prom has been created with the attempt to bring the prom experience to High School Seniors and Juniors (or home-schooled equivalents) who can't afford, or simply don't want to go to their actual prom.
It is open to all juniors and seniors from any school. Underclassmen and those who are out of school are welcome but only as dates to juniors/ seniors.
Couples do not have to be Male - Female. It is going to be every bit as awesome as prom, without the unnecessary crap that comes with the $135 price tag of West Port's Prom. Okay, so it is not at Disney world, but that means it won't be ridiculously expensive and that there won't be a 2 hour, sweaty bus ride.
NOTE: This is not a school-sponsored function. The West Port High School Faculty are not in any way involved with or to be held liable for this event.

Reasons to come to Alternaprom:

Prom Pictures
Prom Pictures will be taken for at least the first half of the night. The price will be $3 for one picture and $5 for two. They will come with a protective covering and a white linen folder.
Dress code:
The terms "formal" and "semi-formal" are a bit difficult to define and are understood differently by many people. If you have any questions about what you can or cannot wear, please contact us directly. Basically, the dress code is the same as outlined by the regular school prom. However, there are no slit/ cleavage/ back/ other such restrictions. There are also no gender oriented restrictions. T-shirts, tank tops, jeans, shorts, etc. are not acceptable. Ties and suit jackets are not both required but are highly encouraged.
Drug and Alcohol Policy
The Shriners' Club is being generous enough to allow us to use their building. The condition for this is as follows:
~No drugs, alcohol, or underage smoking will be permitted by anyone anywhere on the premises. Any person found with alcohol or illicit drugs will be escorted away by police. We are trying to keep this event running smoothly, so for the sake of everyone attending, please don't ruin it by getting the police involved. Those of legal drinking age, we ask you to refrain from bringing any alcohol because of the large number underage teens that will be present. You will be asked to leave. You can go get a drink after Alternaprom ends. Thank you.
Note: those of us hosting this prom will not be taking your money and making a profit. All proceeds will go to paying for the building, food, decorations, and services that will be provided (which is why tickets need to be purchased in advance and not at the door). This is a right of passage for all juniors and seniors, not a capitalistic opportunity for us.
