  • Bio

.. The origin of the band dates back to 2002 in Corpus Christi Texas where Adrian Benavides began performing experimental music events under the name Alternate15. Since then the group has taken many shapes with several musical variations all fueled by a need to push the boundaries of rock, metal, progressive, electronic and classical elements. .... In 2007 Alternate15 began reforming after a few years of focusing on other musical endeavors. Along the way, guitarist Mike Day of ..Ruins of Honor/Bilderberg.. and drummer Owen McCloskey of ..Vex/Bat Castle.. have joined the band and, along with our full string section, have helped to shape the huge sound of the band. The new lineup is currently creating music that is more compelling and brutal than ever. .... In 2009, Adrian Benavides worked with Pat Mastelotto [..King Crimson..] on a few remixes for Steven Wilson's [..Porcupine Tree..] NSRGNTS RMXS. Pat later introduced Adrian to one of the other remix collaborators, Pat's bandmate, Markus Reuter [..Centrozoon/Tuner..]. Markus and Adrian discussed music over cake and coffee at a local Austin hangout and later decided that Markus should produce the next album. Work will begin in October 2009 on what is sure to be a crushing epic record.
