I believe that the greatest achievement that we as survivors should be the most proud of in our lives is that we have survived so much and have continued to fight and work hard to get this far where we are today.

one of the most beautiful things in life is seeing people come together, reaching out to one another and giving back as they work together to make a change.

always dare to be different for it's better to be original then to imitate the lifestyle of someone else. Don't let the world change you but be proud to be you

When we share our own stories with the world, we actually encourage and inspire others out there to break their silence, speak out, and let their own voices be heard. Together our voices can change the world and create an impact!.

what makes a survivor beautiful? courage to speak out, determination to break free, perseverance to rebuild, and strength to rise above the past.
  • Apr 18 2009 11:26 PM

always hold your head up high and don't stoop down to the level of those who hurt you; rise above and never let them get to you for they want to see you fail. Don't give them the satisfaction of being right; instead, show them that you are not like them by breaking the pattern they started. The good thing about getting a new start in life is that you can begin fresh and write new pages to the chapters of your own life story. Keep looking forward to the future as you live in this moment and know you are nothing like those who hurt you.

Thank you for your support "Alternatives". :)

    About this page:
I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D

Thank you for adding us to your friends and demonstrating your will to educate teens and young adults about dating violence.

We invite you and your "friends" to read our alarming statistics on our awareness page - and also let us know what you think about our powerful "teen dating" story in our blog.

We look forward to everyones thoughts and comments on this ever-growing issue as you join in our efforts in "breaking the cycle".
