ALTONA is found in 1996.First members were; Erhan HAZIROL (guitars&vocals)
Araz HIZ (bass), Aytac DASDEMIR (lead guitars) and Ozgur DALAK (drums). First
compositions were pure . ALTONA had 3 important university
scenes at the beginning: 1998 University of Istanbul May Fest, 1999 I.T.U Rock
Fest and 1999 Y.T.U May Fest. After 3 years of experience, ALTONA recorded 4 songs
and distributed this free demo, called ;Alarm of the End. Through
the , Erhan HAZIROL and Aras HIZ left the band and 3 others came in.
Before the second start, Altona was 5 as: Arda SOYKAN (vocals),
Aytac DASDEMIR (lead guitars) , Tayfun COTUK ( rythm guitars), Onur BURGAZ (bass)
and Ozgur DALAK (drums). This 5 also put some progressivity into their old thrash
compositions and began to create new compositions. After second records, ALTONA
was invited to Rock Market Program, on TRT 1 (National Channel of Turkey) and
performed 2 songs in the program ( Alarm of the End, Duty ;duty has never
been played again after . Just after this, ALTONA has been invited
to capital city of Turkey, Ankara for the 4th International Rock Station Festival.
This festival was the turning point of the ALTONA for its second term.
After 2001, ALTONA members Tayfun COTUK and Arda SOYKAN has seperated
their ways from the band, Ozgur DALAK has gone for his studies and untill 2004
ALTONA didnt perform any scene... April 2004, Altona became together again
to create their first ep record...Just before this record ALTONA was : Aytac DASDEMIR
(all guitars), Onur BURGAZ (bass), Ozgur DALAK (drums), Vahdang MAKALETIA (vocals),
Sedat UYGUR (keyboards). Recors have been finalized on February 2007 and ALTONA
returned to its musical life!
