Altona is a new Sydney guitar based four piece. They've been lucky enough to get on the Triple J playlist and rotation with the first single "Mexican Friends", which was produced by Simon Holmes of Hummingbirds fame. The song was on Triple J's NET 50 for 10 consecutive weeks peaking at number 5. "Alligator" was on a circulating demo which made it's way onto the FBI radio station playlist and was enjoyed by many of the Djs.
Altona's following seems to be growing with every show, already they have supported Drag, The Boat People, The Vandas, Degrees K, The Drugs, Expatriate and Faker and Love Outside Andromeda.
Triple J is running their famous Unearthed competition again, this year you get the chance to vote and review Altona's tracks. You'll be able to download the new single "So Pretty" along with "Mexican Friends" and "Lonely Neck Tie". We need you to rate the songs :) but first you need to register as a member at
