Alton Kelly is a band out of Madison, Wisconsin. Ricci, Bill, Austin, and Rob all have had their own individual success as musicians, now however, they combine to have a jazz, pop, soul sound that is unique and catchy. Already they have played sets at venues from Brat Fest and The Union Theater to small cafes in downtown Madison. After competing in Launchpad statewide battle of the bands and earning a spot in the finals they recieved a MAMA (Madison Area Music Award), and did a promo for Launchpad on Madison's WORT radio station. They went on to get third at Launchpad, it went well but the band couldn't help but feel dissapointed with their perfomance. Each band member took this experience and are motivated to win this years Launchpad competition, get their EP recorded at Paradyme Productions in Madison, and continue with music for the rest of their lives.

Awesome! So you guys made it to finals! Very cool. yeah I hope to get out and see ya'll play. I was bummed I had to miss you on Friday. And thanks, glad you liked what we did. We've got a ways to go, but it was fun and if could have gone way worse for us.
Dudes! how did you set at Launchpad go? I didn't get to watch you, I really wanted to but I had to leave early to get down to Chicago. How'd it go for you?
The Show is ON just coming back to share about Spotlight blowing up hosted by me Common. The talent on the site is unreal and shows the real Reaching Higher people we have in this world. Lincoln Spotlight is the first to bring together rhythm and blues with all the soul and jazz that has shaped our music. March 17 is the deadline to be in the Top 25 and the final winner will open for me at an exclusive Lincoln Lounge event
Touche. His musicianship is amazing. Don't worry you weren't hostile...I appreciate your coming back at me. Your tunes are nice and mellow. Good luck guys! I still can't believe he won album of the year :) Take care, Ryan.
yes it is actually we were trying to find a good song name that fit for it and it was between that and another poem of his, "Spleen" (I thought that one would have been cooler, and trippier for a jam band lol) although we have a new song that's not recorded yet called "The Ballad Of Optomus Prime" that may make it on to our spring EP that we've taken a little time off to write.
not my most subtle move haha but alright well if nothing else works out let me know cause i'm not desperate for money so i'd shoot for free or like 5 bucks
sounding good. I'm assuming the mix was straight from the board? Vocals are quiet, but that happens, i can tell that they'd be fine live. Tight performances too. Good work.
You guys gots to get some recordings up. Liking that song in the vid. Seems like it was a cool gig. Too many young bands who actually have something going for them break up so quickly these days. Don't be one of them guys.
