The Right Reverend Enik, Altrusian Church of Light's Interests
General
The Light, of course. My cult, the ACL. And Ice Hockey. It is a new passion with me. I do not skate, and I do not like the cold, but when I watch this game (only from home on my television) I am overcome with excitement, an emotion your world has fostered in me. I also enjoy NASCAR, but do not fully comprehend the rules. That said, the crass commercialism of professional sports, the agents, the unions, higher taxes for stadiums, the salaries, it is all a bit much. Do you American humans not realize that professional sport was the cause of the fall of the great Mayan civilization? That knowledge is part of our history in Altrusia. Anyway, I dig guest sermons at my Church of Light. Such as Jefferson Startrek (turn it up!):
I also like to walk in the rain, if temperatures permit. It soothes and moisturizes my dry scaly skin. I am cold blooded, and lay dormant during much of the winter. Your modern heating systems afford me some comfort. I live in Tennessee, which I have found much to my liking, particularly the summer nights. I live for the nights. And COOK OUTS! Other things interest me greatly but there is not room here to give them all proper mention. Perhaps I can divulge more in discussion with you.
Oh, and you may wish to heed her VALID ADVICE:
Music
Exotica, Samba, Space Age Pop, Easy Listening, vocal standards, your traditional pop music of the 1940s-1970s, Country, Delta Blues, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars; fey to twee British Glam Rock 1971-1976. I even had my own Glam Band in 1974 and 1975, when I was off the set of Land of the Lost. We rocked.
I also enjoy some of the more visceral dance music out there these days. Stuff like THIS:
....>
I cannot hope to list everything here that I am "into." Obviously, though, Enoch Light is awesome. BUT the RECORDS of the WEEK ARE: OOOhh CAN'T WAIT to get there!
AND, of course, perhaps the greatest album of all time:
Movies
I am most fond of your classic cinema, particulalrly the gritty crime dramas of the 1950s and 1960s. But, the original Wonka was brilliant, too. They just don't make 'em like that anymore.
Television
I am not impressed with much of your entertainment-oriented programs. This astonishing device should serve a higher purpose. However, that said, I must admit some affection for occasional comedy and the more speculative programs dealing with the phenomenon of UFOs and cryptozoology. I shall remain silent on those issues for now. Let me just say that I find interesting your interest in these subjects, your evaluation of evidence, and the various hypotheses you have formulated. Word to the wise: do not be so quick to judge or dismiss. My civilization was 5,000 years old when I became Lost, and we knew what wormholes were by your approximate calendrical year of 1200 BC. However, our technology was radically different than what you have developed.
But, from time to time, you have offered engaging and intriguing programming like this:
And I appreciate your development of the Digital Video Disc. Recently, I rented The Land of the Lost series, and enjoyed very much seeing my old friends the Marshalls, as well as SLatch. The pylon scenes are difficult for me to watch, and the same can be said of the shots of the Lost City. But overall, it was a good experience. It should delight me if you were to recommend any shows for me.
Books
I am not a big reader. I have trouble turning pages. Have you seen my fingers? Anyhow, I suppose non-fiction is what I find most compelling. But I also like, let me see, "A Light in the Attic," "Light in August," "Heart of Darkness," "Lie Down in Darkness," "The Sun Also Rises," "Invisible Man," "The Stranger," "From Here to Eternity." Maybe you have some recommendations?
Heroes
Rick Marshall, the brave and wise human father who possesed striking survivalist skills and who managed to carve out a fairly comfortable living space for he and his two children, Will and Holly, in the dreadful Land of the Lost. AND the ghost who haunts my bar:

About me: I will see you on THE LIGHT SIDE OF THE EARTH. But I WILL NOT add you if you are under 18 or have your profile set to PRIVATE. And I am Altrusian. I am not a Sleestak. I am the one, true, real Enik. I am here by an accident of our technology. But I remain vigilant, and powerful. Behold.
I am cold-blooded, about 6'0" (in my platforms), possesed with great intellect and foresight, am somewhat capable of telepathy and have some extra sensory perception. Very strong emotions, such as intense anger, tend to strike me and fill me with pain. Please do not hurt me. Oh, and I tend to view the world through rose-colored...eyes. Consequently, I like pink! I am sincere, and wish you no harm. Please, let's be friends, shall we? My eternal quest for the Magetti continues. I love The Light. I have said much more in the blog area, above. See: "ME."
MY SWEET ENIK-MOBILE
I KNOW...I DO HAVE GREAT TASTE.
YES, MY GAMEROOM...
Who I'd like to meet: A female Altrusian, but the chances are exceedingly remote. In the interim, until I am able to go home to my own world, I wish to communicate and socialize with some down-to-earth humans. Like maybe:
