~ This venue intimately ties audience to performer making it a fertile ground for experimentation.
~ It’s more than a new Theatre; it’s a new vehicle for articulating and extending performance art.
~ The Alt exists to provide the space, theatrical recourses and artistic guidance to independent artists and new companies to reach their artistic goals. Finally the artist, hungry yet under funded, has a chance to make art.. Without such a resource the many voices of future influential artists may never be realized!

Price is donation based so please come, invite a friend or five and show your support for the BIF
If you cannot make it then please send someone along!
Please come out to show your support. The Buffalo “Infringement” Festival is a non-profit-driven, non-hierarchical grassroots endeavor bringing together a broad range of eclectic, independent, experimental, and controversial art of all forms. Visual, performing, musical, and media arts are all welcome here and at no cost to the artists. Taking place in multiple venues in and around Buffalo’s Allentown District, the festival is an annual eleven-day event running from the last weekend of July through the first weekend of August.
The festival incurs some expenses, namely getting thousands of copies of the schedule printed up so that everyone can keep track of what's going on when. These are not huge costs, but they are costs, so doing some fund raising for it early in the year makes it possible to have an Infringement Festival that is just that much better by the time July rolls around.
