Altynay graduated from music school specializing in piano. She followed her passion for music by pursuing a career as a singer, first in Kazakstan, and later, the United States. She has been performing since early childhood. Along with her music performances, Altynay also showed her academic abilities by participating in a show called "21st Century Leader", a version of "Jeopardy" for teenagers. In addition, she competed in a Kazakh National Competition for gifted teens called "Anshi Balapan". She has performed numerous times at the International Competition "Jakhan Dala" in the city of Aqtau. She has also competed in the competition NEW WAVE, in Latvia, Jurmala. She was a singer in the girl's group "Chinatown", well-known (thru concerts and tv performances) in Kazakhstan. Descendency Altynay Sapargalieva is the great-granddaughter of the famous Kazakh composer Jayau Mussa, who composed the "Aksisa". Altynay's mother, Gulsharia Sapargaliyeva Ersainovna, was a professional musician who passed on her love for music to her daughter. Music Career Altynay moved to New York City in 2010, to pursue music in the United States. In 2011, she teamed up with (Floyd Fisher and Kiev "XL" Campbell) to record new music, scheduled for commercial release late 2011. She has recorded a number of new songs for her first album, as well as a cover of the classic club hit "Summertime, Summertime" (originally recorded by Nocera). -
