HERE ARE SOME SHEKERES I RECENTLY MADE:
Some of my training in instrument building is made possible by a grant from:
I currently live in Portland, OR, where I perform regularly and teach at an alternative school. The drum has been everywhere in my life, and it's call is becoming clearer and clearer. Just as a dog has four legs but walks one path, my interests in music making, instrument building, working with the youth, and cooling out with family and friends (a necessary breath of fresh air) all lead in one direction ... I pray for a core of fire that burns deep within.
Hey Chaz! How's life? How's Portland treating you? I'm sure you're keeping the beats flowing. Some friends and I put this together to get the word out about my book ("what i'm on") and CD (wat ahm on (ep) ). We had a lot of fun with it and I hope you dig it. I've been told it's funny. Feel free to drop by my page and let me know what you think.
Hola Senior Mortimer! too long brother. need your help. am hanging with friend thinking of the DVD of which copy you own and we have watched....of the african-american saxophonist who goes on epic global quest for ultimate musical truth and realizes that, by different route, Coltrane already manifested the answer in A LOVE SUPREME.....what is the name of that movie?!....much love
Underwater Getdown decided to throw us a benefit out of the goodness of their hearts, and we love them for that (actually, we love them anyway, but that is beside the point). Support community media, support local music, and have a kickin' good time all at once for a measly 5 bucks!
On the contrary, abure your presence was very much appreciated. I only wish I could have had more of an opportunity to speak with you a little more than the abbreviated introduction by the kitchen hahahahah You were understandably hungry and a litte more bearded than your pic on MS. I will take all into consideration for the future and organize a little more effectively so people wont be so famished .
