Life's not meant to be an ordeal, and virtually everything that goes wrong in our lives will one day be an amusing anecdote. The trick is to laugh sooner, I guess.
Quite a few of my male friends had a laugh when I developed an interest in scrapbooking - a 99% female pastime it seems. Nevertheless I persevered (under cover) and now earn income from my website www.themed-scrapbook-idea.com, as well as my blog MLM-Prospecting-Online.com. I am particularly excited now by Stone Evans' fantastic system for automating the building of MLM downlines - http://www.pluginprofitsite.com/main-25949
Müzik
I really like the Blues, especially featuring either harmonica (that I play a little), bottleneck guitar or both. My current favourite is Seasick Steve, whom I saw at Edinburgh in the summer of 2007. Fab! My wife Rosalind and I play in an 8-piece band, about 5 or 6 times a year. We play covers of all sorts of music, including 'Commitments' and 'Blues Brothers' tracks, Van Morrison, Tina Turner, the Doobie Brothers and many more.(Sounds like a K-Tel ad!)
Filmler
My favourite film director has got to be Christopher Guest. I particularly love 'Best in Show' and 'Waiting for Guffman'.
Televizyon
I love watching 'Frazier' repeats, except for the later ones which has got Daphne's brother in - supposedly from Manchester - sounding like Dick Van Dyke in 'Mary Poppins' (BEFORE he practised). Not a fan of Reality TV at all. I'd like them to fill the Big Brother house with wannabees and PRETEND to film everything - but nothing is being televised. Then, when they get evicted, and expect a car park full of screaming twentysomethings, there's just one old security guard, asking them if they've got ID. THAT'S the bit I'd want to watch!
Kitaplar
I love 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrne and 'The Abundance Book' by John Randolph Price. I also love any books by Norman Vincent Peale, Napoleon Hill or Og Mandino. For fiction I really enjoy John Grisham, and I would say the best book I read recently was 'The Kite Runner'. Great film as well.

Alun is feeling Bullish! 23 Ara 2008 tarihinde devamı
Hi! This is Alun Maxwell, of www.MLM-Prospecting-Online.com.
I look forward to enjoying being part of this amazing community's abundance. I wasn't
always so community-minded though. My background - and I'll come
clean - was as a voice on the end of the telephone breaking his
'you know whats' to try to sell you some advertising!
Yes,
I spent my thirties and most of my twenties trying to get people to
do what I wanted them to do. Guess what I discovered. People prefer to
do what THEY want to do. Darn it! I worked in a hard-nosed telesales
environment for fourteen years - mostly on 'commission only'. Yes, that's
right - chicken one week, feathers the next.
At the same
time I was trying to build an mlm business - using the techniques taught to
me on the telesales office. You can imagine how well that went down with
folks. People would cross the street to avoid me, and these were members
of my own family.
When I finally realised that neither of
these pursuits were making me happy, I jacked it all in and - spotting a gap in the market! - went to Drama
School. I figured an actor's life would be more secure and at least people
would stay in the same room at parties when I told them what I did.
I put my mlm aspirations on ice too. My 'warm market' had become colder
than my 'cold market' and I'd not yet heard of the amazing ways you could
use the internet to build an mlm business......
But this didn't exist in the 1990s! So I fell out of love with mlm, and
concentrated on how to become an actor - one that occasionally got paid.
What I then realised is that for every ten actors, nine are out
of work. Within a month of leaving Drama School, I was back selling on the
phone again - although with slightly exalted office 'cred' as someone who
might one day hold a spear behind someone famous.
I decided
to write a play about my experiences in telesales, and so 'Salesbears!' was
born.
(Sorry about the polar bear's bad language. I'd bleeped it out but when I transferred the clip from YouTube the bleep moved back by one crucial second!).
I cast myself as a bullying Sales Manager, my sales person 'victims'
being a group of large teddy bears. (You had to be there). 'Colin Blockley' here, was modelled on a couple of people I worked with in telesales who should have been doing just about ANYTHING else!
When you work 'commission only' it can be hard to reassure your 'significant other' that everything's going to be OK, but nevertheless Colin makes a particularly limp effort...
There is a phenomenon that only expert naturalists or zoologists know; pandas can't close. I've no idea why. It could be genetic. What's important is to know that if your life depended on a Panda securing commitment for a page of advertising.......you could be in trouble.
Now - thanks to Corporate Roleplay - I work in Human communication all the time, and if I had to pinpoint what separates the 'champs' from the 'chumps' in telephone selling it's listening skills. Who better than Colin Blockley to illustrate?
'Corporate Roleplay'? Eh? Yes. I discovered that companies were now paying actors
- especially those from a business background - to roleplay with staff
members and give feedback on how that person made them feel.
It's interesting. I must have worked with over 100 different types of organisation and the issues facing staff are 95% identical - dealing with other people effectively. In fact if I had to sum up what makes the most effective people in the workplace (and I would suggest in life generally) it's the ability to 'meet' others at their point of need.
I have been
working freelance as a Corporate Roleplayer (which I truly love) since February 2002, and
have 'put my phone in the ground. I can't use it any more', as Bob Dylan
once sang.
Even better, the internet is delivering the mlm
promise in a way that the old methods never could, and the future has never
been rosier - whatever the news broadcasts may say. The more the world's
economy nosedives, the more that ambitious and entrepreneurial people will
find ways to protect themselves and build lifestyle and security for their families.
I salute all those people and trust I shall always remain one of that
forward-thinking group. I hope that www.MLM-Prospecting-Online.com will
continue to be a helpful, friendly and inspiring resource for folks around the
world who need some practical help to escape the effects of the World recession!
I love to meet new people of all interests and backgrounds. As a Corporate roleplayer I get to meet people from just about any business you could name, and I never tire of learning what other people do for a living.
Now the internet has made obsolete all those dog-eared methods of building an mlm business, I am always interested in hearing people's 'war stories' from the bad old days of MLM!
Most of all I like people who are positive, life-loving and see the lighter side whenever possible. I particularly respect people who'll go the 'extra mile' to help others. After all, if we're too big to do something small, we're too small to do something big.

This was something that I learned a couple of years back and has always been with me. Thought that I would share it with you.
"People develop and grow daily not in a day."
This is something that I live my life by. If you realize that everything takes time to develop and all you need to do is the best that you can do for that day, all of your dreams will become reality.
