Press Release april 2011 // Comunicado de prensa abril 2011: Martin Alvarado is considered one of the best argentinian singers of the new generation who has become, after his 18 european tours, an argentinian culture ambassador. With his particular style to phrase the songs, his warm and powerful tenor voice, his expressivity together with his unique repertorie of new tangos, old ones but with a few recordings as well as the all time classics plus his charismatic approach to the public he has gained the respect of the audiences in Russia,Finland, Poland, Slovenia, Belgium, France, Hungary, Uruguay, Latvia, Sweden, Bulgaria, Norway, Spain, Italy, Austria, Estonia, Netherlands, etc. His albums “Martin Alvarado” (2003), “Asi es mi tango” (2006, with Leopoldo Federico as special guest star), “Tango Norte, Tango Sur” (2008, made in Finland with Quinteto Otra Vez) and “Más Allá” (2010, recorded with renowned guitarist Horacio Avilano and his trio) have given Alvarado worldwide prestige. Alvarado took part in Astor Piazzolla’s tango operita “María de Buenos Aires” on its first Polish version in 2009 and several times in Finland. Since 2008 he stars in "El concierto del Nuevo Tango", one of the most vaguardistic tango projects nowadays, together with Patrick Gallois (flute and orchestra conduction), Dmitry Slobodeniouk (conduction), quinteto Otra Vez and symphony orchestras and (in another version) with UMO jazz orchestra. At the moment he is pre-producing his fifth album as well as his new self penned rock cd and touring Europe for the 19 th. time with concerts to be given in cities of Russia, Finland and England until august 2011. ---------------------- Castellano----------------------------------------------------- Martin Alvarado es considerado uno de los más destacados cantantes de la nueva generación y se ha convertido, a partir de sus 18 giras europeas, en un verdadero embajador de la cultura argentina. Con su particular fraseo, su cálida y poderosa voz de tenor, una gran expresividad y un repertorio único compuesto por nuevos tangos, algunas obras antiguas pero con escasos registros, los clásicos de todos los tiempos sumados a su carismático contacto con el público ha sabido ganarse la admiración del público en países como Rusia, Finlandia, Polonia, Eslovenia, Bélgica, Francia, Hungría, Uruguay, Letonia, Suecia, Bulgaria, Noruega, España, Italia, Austria, Estonia y Holanda. Sus álbumes “MARTIN ALVARADO” (2003), “ASÍ ES MI TANGO” (2006, con Leopoldo Federico como artista invitado), “TANGO NORTE, TANGO SUR” (2008, grabado en Finlandia con el Quinteto Otra Vez) y “MÁS ALLÁ” (2010, junto con el reconocido guitarrista Horacio Avilano y su trio) le han dado a Alvarado prestigio a nivel mundial. Desde el año 2008 protagoniza "El concierto del Tango Nuevo", uno de los proyectos de tango mas vanguardistas del mundo, junto con Patrick Gallois (direccion orquestal y flauta solista), Dmitry Slobodeniouk (dirección orquestal), el Quinteto Otra Vez (composición y arreglos) y diferentes orquestas sinfónicas asi como (en una versión diferente) con la UMO jazz band, la Big Big band de jazz mas importante de Finlandia y de reconocimiento mundial. También suele, esporádica pero varias veces, protagonizar la famosa operita "María de Buenos Aires" de Astor Piazzolla y Horacio Ferrer habiendo sido parte de la primera versión hecha en Polonia en 2009 y varias veces en diferentes ciudades de Finlandia. En este momento Martin Alvarado se encuentra pre-produciendo el que será su quinto álbum de tango y música argentina y, a la vez, un nuevo disco con sus propias canciones de rock en inglés mientras transcurre su 19na. gira europea que lo llevará por diferentes ciudades de Rusia, Inglaterra y Finlandia hasta el mes de agosto de 2011. ..
