______________________________________________________________Alvenson has performed at such notable venues as Carnegie Hall, the Plush Room in San Francisco, Yoshi's Jazz Club in Oakland, McCormick Place in Chicago and Tavern on the Green in New York City. He has sung with many diverse groups including the Dwaine Spurlin Band and the Bay Area Chamber Symphony. He recently performed at the Star-Studded Benefit Concert for Christopher Rodriguez at Yoshi's with Narada Michael Walden, Kai Eckhardt, Frank Martin, Carol Alban, Matt Herskowitz, John Santos, Jose Neto, Tina Glenn and many others. Just a few months ago he was a guest performer at the World Flute Fest which included appearances by world class flutists Ravichandra Kulur, Carol Alban, Skip Healy and Roger Glenn. A talented lyricist, Alvenson has co-written songs with composer/flutist/vocalist Carol Alban that have been placed in films (Goodbye My Love and Character is Destiny-Dreamweaver Films). His voice has been compared to Nat King Cole and Johnny Mathis but he definitely has a style all his own. A studio album is in the works. Check out his new Youtube video!
