Gifted, talented and versatile are a few words that best describe singer, songwriter, musician and producer Alvin Frazier.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Alvin has been singing since the age of two and pecking at the keys since the age of three. "My Mother saw my potential and started buying me toy instruments (i.e. pianos and guitars) and it wasn't long before I started to hear ideas as early as three years old, believe it or not, and I've been going strong ever since."
Over the years, and without formal training, Alvin would go on to learn to play the piano, guitar, bass and drums. Outside of being a singer and self-taught musician, Alvin had a love for writing. He would eventually use that talent for songwriting. Alvin attributes his success and rapid development as a songwriter / musician / producer to his faith in God. In addition to being a producer and a recording artist, Alvin also functions as a Praise & Worship leader / musician for his local assembly The Light of Liberty Church and has done so for the past 10 years.
Because of Alvin's ability to play multiple instruments well he is often referred to as the one man band and receives countless calls from mentors, peers and clients seeking his services and advice as a musician, songwriter, producer and instructor. Alvin says, "I feel that creating music is part of my life's destiny, and I am certain that composing music with a message of love, faith & hope is part of my life's calling. I'm just hoping to reach the people one person and one melody at a time..."
Alvin is currently touring to promote his debut album Love & Faith Volume: 1 released in early 2007. alvin has also written and produced material for other artists such as Smooth Jazz saxophonist Eddie Baccus, Jr.(go to Eddie's page to hear "Journey to Love" one of the songs written by alvin for his Eddie's upcoming debut solo release) as well as "Be Strong" on Contemporary Gospel artist Tony Lee's new solo release "Speak Life"and his work can also be heard on JFJ Live Talk Radio's Page as the composer of the show's theme song. In 2007 along with juggling a career as a solo artist, songwriter and producer, alvin was also the lead singer for the Christian Pop Acapella group, Praise-apella. During his time with the group they recorded and produced a Christmas album entitled "The Perfect Gift" sponsored in part by 95.5 The Fish which was released in November of 2007.
