Gracious was born and raised in Hayes Homes projects located in Newark, NJ aka Brick City. Surrounded by music, she never thought about being an Artist, but she loved to write. She wrote any and everything from Term papers, Poetry, Stage Plays, and Short Stories. Writing her first Stage play at the age of 12, she was truly on her way to stardom. She always dreamed of being a writer for Broadway, however that dream took a back seat, when she heard the voice of Sarah Vaughn. She quickly became a fan of Jazz, when she heard "Misty." She knew at that very moment that she wanted to make the transition to music. Joining the Weequahic High School Jazz Band in 1996, her passion for music grew to incredible heights. Listening day in and day out to the smooth sounds of the Alto saxophone, she started to imitate the different pitches and runs that she would hear, but only when she was alone. "I didn't want to sing, I was very afraid of being in front of a bunch of people. My palms would get really sweaty, my heart would feel like it was going to beat out of my chest." Then in 2005 she linked up with Decon Chainz, (CEO of Prophecy Records) and the Prophecy Records family and the rest is history.
