Sounds Like
Me? Bonnie Raitt and Ella Fitzgerald had a love child. Musically, Anita O'day, Tom Waits and Gladys Knight, had a drunken orgy. Seriously, I don't have a catagory, I think there's a little of everything.

So, I hate writing these bios, but here goes. I grew up around the Yo and for those of you who aren't savy, that means Youngstown, Ohio. I took a few years of piano lessons, sang in various chiors and yes, I spent a good many years in the highschool band playing the tuba. But, singing in the chior wasn't for me and the tuba isn't really a giging instrument so during a stint at a light opera company in Wooster, Ohio, I traded in my tuba for a guitar.
I've bounced around the West since that summer in 98 but finally put my roots down in Flagstaff, Az. In 2006, I recorded Bones in the Back Yard with my long time friend Tamsen Fynn who started Elephant Red Records. Since then I've played for all kinds of folks in all kinds of places. I recently took part in The Strength of Strings back in Youngstown, a night featuring acoustic performers and have been a steady performer for the Goddess Get Down in Flagstaff. I've had appearences on Kaff Country Radio and Koshari Television and been a featured artist for the Northern Arizona Book Festival. I'm proud to say, that I've been a part of the Flagstaff Pride in the Pines Festival for the last 3 years and opened for the likes of Chaka Khan and Sarah Bettens.

This Saturday night we are throwing a Halloween Party at the Orpheum with Yin Yang and Zen Some. Sedona superfreaks Yin Yang and Zen Some know how to throw a party. Its actually impossible to convince them not to dress up in costumes during the 364 days of the year that are not Halloween. That's why we thought that they would be a particularly appropriate band to play Halloween. YYZS plays a an eclectic mix of music, focusing on 80s songs that don't suck (think New Wave, Talking Heads, etc...). So put on your freakiest outfit and come down to the Orpheum to dance.
