Alyson Mayne distinctively writes and sings, “Autobiographical poetry put to music”.
A second generation musician from CT, having grown up in the shadow of “Outpouring” a Christian folk/rock band, she brings elements of folk with a fresh pop twist.
Alyson sings with Louise Loya Mayne (her Mom) for “Walk For Life” ceremonies as well as in her debut single “Hands That Save”. She dedicates her debut single to her family and all the wonderful friends of her late uncle, Pete Loya.
Alyson emulates the artists of the 60’s folk era, when music was used as a catalyst to change the world-an important moving force-a message to be heard with bravado-a united voice.
“Hands that Save” has been awarded “Honorable Mention” and "Suggested Artist" in the VH1 Song of the Year Contest in both 2006 and 2007.
